@@SIMBA-tq2ch I know you don’t to kill or harm them. The older whales like Katina have lived here for most of their lives. And the rest were born at a SeaWorld facility (or transferred from a different park not associated with SeaWorld). This _is_ their natural environment, the only world most of them have known. They have skills and training they learned to flourish _here,_ not in open waters without a pod. For the first time in their lives, they would have to hunt to survive. That is not an innate ability. And they would be deprived from the companionship with the whales they live with and the trainers that have worked with them for decades. All of that, gone. And for what? These whales are in excellent condition. They are not harmed at all by living at SeaWorld and their physical, social and cognitive needs are being met. Look at them. These are not sick or aggressive or damaged animals. They are playful and engaging and robust. They spend most of their days with their trainers and their fellow whales. They play games, learn new behaviors, exercise. Why should they be dropped into a vast and indifferent ocean alone? What do you see that is so terrible to justify doing that to them?

@@darkprose orcas do not belong in cement tanks they belong in a natural environment there's nothing educational about sea world or them living in a tank the best thing for these whales is to put them in a sea side sanctuary they do it for elephants tigers bears and lions why not for orcas and dolphins. In a sea side sanctuary they will have room to dive to do what they want to do and not perform for food . You can't get that in a tank because there's nothing but silence there's no current of the waves or other marine life to interact with . Idc what anyone says it's Barbect to keep orcas in a small confind space it's inhumane and disgusting and I shame people who supports this type of life because it's slaver . Idc what you say these trainers may give them the best care but it all comes down to it those black and red suits only care about the money and not the well being of these animals .

@@darkprose that could be correct but you gotta understand what the first person is coming from tho. These are highly social and intellectual animals that have just one day been forcibly taken away to this new weird environment where they have to entertain to be fed and train hard and breed to keep the industry going… with all that, I think it’s fair to want them to have the natural environment and freedom and pods like any human would hate to not have as well. With all that and more, I’m not super sure how it would go if they were to be released into the wild once again and if there would be monitoring to ensure they can adapt and thrive. After all they are very smart mammals that have adapted/survived/whatever you’d like to call it to the human experience in these entertainment environments but that’s all some grey area. I think ppl just want them to be free and w their families :/ I do understand wym tho… unfortunately some of them have only known sea world and their trainers whom I’m sure do their best to care for them!
