I think it's more that men take a long time to be exactly what their woman wants them to be. Growing up has little to do with it. If his kids and finances are in order, he's doing better than most of us already. Many women just marry a man as is and get extremely frustrated when they marry them and can't change practically everything about that person. Too many people view relationships as the man just being what the woman wants, changing into a better partner for the woman. If you didn't love him as is when you married him, don't marry him and insist they change their entire persona. It happens EXTREMELY often, and is always accompanied with something degrading like "he didn't grow up", or "he's just a child". Ever think you're just not compatible?

Gavin doesn't seem to care where he puts his thingy. I am glad she's rid of that scumbag and has found happiness with a real man.

Gwen is so freaking beautiful.

I believe Gwen did the right thing when someone betrayed you like that there’s no coming back from it. He played her over and over. I’m glad she’s married to Blake at least now she has a kind loving man who’s funny and talented. Her ex will never have that and he’ll keep on repeating his mistakes. Happy for Gwen and Blake. They make a beautiful couple.

British guys have no clue how to treat women especially American women expect more. In uk for many years, there was no co-ed schools, they were separated, that's a big part of the problem but 5heir culture doesn't support romance,it's how it's been for centuries, but not so in Italy, greece,etc

Nobody knows about the background of cheaters until U already engaged- married and have kids together sometimes people have many things to thinking about their children and their images and their reputations,people have many of their own reasons which not the outsiders from fakes internet’s comments ! They got married. She wanted him to change, he didn't. Honestly, don't be with someone if you can't tolerate who they currently are. Expecting people to change is selfish, unless they're toxic to themselves. He's always been a ladies man, a party goer, fun type of gun. She wanted him to instantly be a homebody dad, white collar as they come. It's just not him.

Thank God she woke up though 20 years late, she finally saw that she deserves better than being humiliated repeatedly by the one whose supposed to love and protect you. Its not too late to have her chance in happiness, this time with Blake, may she love and be loved in return for the rest of her life.

She’s not dumb. To me it seemed she invested so much into the relationship to let go. Sometimes people have hard time to let go of someone they love even though they know deep inside he’s not right for you. She had kids with him, made a family with him of course it gets much harder to break up or divorce because now they have kids together. As a mother you think of the happiness of you’re kids not your own. Once you divorce you break the family so you feel guilty or like a failure. It’s really hard to be in her situation. It’s not that simple to just let go of a marriage that you share kids with.

He loves himself so much he can't love or be faithful to his wife, regard respect to the mother of his children. If her songs tell the story, even before marriage he was a cheater already but she's a sucker for pain and chose to marry him still. It is what it is, she can't turn back time and uncry her tears already. We need to face the consequences of our choices, anyway. I just hope she won't make bad choices again because that would be tragic, esp for her kids.

she was in love with him but also kinda deluded. She kept forgiving him and even I'm astonished how patient she was with him after all the shit he put her through for 20 years. She could've dumped him back in the 90s and found someone else easily because she's Gwen Stefani but she just limited herself to him... it's weird that no one from her bandmates or family didn't protect her from him... it was only Courtney Love (her enemy?) who told her the truth that he was cheating her but she just ignored until it went too far. I think she would have done anything to be a married woman with kids, seems like this was her dream... even if it was with a mediocre man like him. She ignored all the red flags about him because she wanted to have her own family... it is sad because she deserved so much more.

She mentions how hot he is here, and in the song she says she’s “really lucky.” I’m sure that played a role in why she was so forgiving. And the fact that she was heart broken from Tony Kanal (sp?) Unfortunately he continued betraying her repeatedly. Disgusting and shameless. It’s sad Gwen wasn’t able to see that part of him clearly before starting a family with him.

But it's okay not every one have good taste. It's a Grammy winning song and #1 in Top 40 chart and #3 in Billboard 100 . Gwen co-wrote it with Dave Stewart from Eurythmics, iconic duo with Annie Lennox. Also the song featured Jamaican musicians where they recorded the album at. Another trivia, the music video is Blake's favorite, pretty obvious why.
