I have always said China is a beautiful place it's amazing how clean China is, which puts many other countries to shame. Very ultra modern, but I have to say I am in love with the old traditional China and their amazing original buildings even though the future China is so beautiful. I love those old photographs. China was actually still looking like that as recently as the end of the 80s. They should have those images in a museum because thery're testaments to the fact that China achieved in a single generation, the level of industrial, infrastructural and technological development what it took the west to achieve in centuries. What a great nation and infact, the greatest in the world. A nation which the Imperialists are trying to bring down or destroy but will never succeed in destroying or bringing it down.

China looks simply amazing. And so does the people. The only downside, is that in order for someone to experience that real China, you gotta speak their language. Your interections are awesome, watched a few of your videos. But I'm pretty sure that going there speaking only english won't get you anywhere close to having the same experience.

I remember checking out a “CD” (yes, CD) to learn Chinese. Played the CD in my car, listened for two minutes, did a U-turn and returned it to the library. There was no way I’d learn Chinese. At least not from that CD. Listening to you speak, I wish I had pursued other options because I believe I could have. I’d love to visit China. Maybe move there - but not without learning how to speak it. Totally jealous:)

You are right Mike, they do have freedom to a certain degree. However, this is only true as long as they want to stay within the strict confines of the communist party. If you want something other than what they dictate, then, you have a problem. There is no such thing as freedom of thought there. So that you can freely say what you want to say. Your individual rights in China are greatly restricted. Even in the case where you and your ancestors lived on and farmed a piece of land for centuries, the land does not belong to you. You cannot actually own buy and claim ownership of a piece of property because all of the rights belong to the communist party leadership. They can come in at anytime and evict you without cause or reason.
