    OMG! I absolutely love swings, and am trying to find someone who can put one up for an adult sized person. I know that I am WELL past the age where I should want one, but don't even care what the neighbors would think of me "swinging away". I find it so peaceful and relaxing..

    Jonelle85 Trancoso is not exactly a place in the middle of nowhere. It’s a major touristic destination in the south of Bahia state. It’s only 1h away from the Porto Seguro airport. You can find big Resorts there (such as Club Med). Bahia state has some of the most important beach destinations: Trancoso, Porto Seguro, Itaparica, Morro de São Paulo etc. I guess Anderson loves it because it’s not too close to a big city, but it’s not away from civilization!

    I am brazillian, let me just clarify one thing about this "house": It is like a status mansion, because Trancoso is a place near nowhere, for plp reaaaaaallly wealthy, specially where this house is located, and on a place that is designed for millionaries to relax or say to foreigners that they have a house there and be cool (status), the "village" is protected by UNESCO, ("the square" or "o quadrado") and national parks, so, no new urban expantion, that means, that who has a piece of that land has it, and who doesnt need to get on the line and hope for someone to sell his house on that paradise, you cant change the arquitecture of the place at all, cant demolish anything and this place is very elitist. The video seems it is a humble house, cound be more fake than that, this house is extremelly expensive because the land value is skyhigh, it seems Cooper has the money and some conections. Oh BTW, the poor people plp are "discouraged" by the police or security to even get near Trancoso, imagine near the square, tourists can go, but hotels there are veeeery expensive, and as i said it is a paradise but in the middle of nowhere. There is a fishermen comunity there , but it is more a tourist atraction than anything else, since they prefer to provide cheap labor for the hotels than really go to the sea and be miserable. We brazillians laugh about the idea of a house there, it is a place for "gringos" (americans) to brag about , because you can have much more bang for buck in housing terms near Trancoso, but to say to foreigners that you have a house on "the square" of Trancoso and everyone is OOOOOWWWW, to say for brazillians that you have a house there, we are like: WTF ? Why ? Who is the real state agent genius that sold you, i need to learn some tricks too.

  • @edineujunior

    He has a house in trancoso, no one said he has a housed at the square, there are some condiminiums there that you can build your signer house, go the a real state agent website and you will see.

    @marciobranco6192

    @@edineujunior When i first knew i thougth the same, but after a research on a brazillian arquitecture magazine, they showed the street and his house is next to the square, and inside the expanded square by law, on one side of the street is the square the other side is his house, and only on the backyard can you build something small, that is why his house is like 2 houses together, in fact his front house cant be changed at all because the law of the place, i already visited there, including the street where he built, it has private security, next to square but is not a gate comunity by obvious reasons, very expensive. Here one link : amauryjr.blog.bol.uol.com.br/2018/01/07/conheca-a-mansao-do-jornalista-americano-anderson-cooper-em-trancoso-ba/ Note the third picture, with the gate opened you can see the square right on front of his house. He can say that he lives on the square since it is 10 meters away from his sidewalk, the comdominum is on the north side of Trancoso, near the airport, far from que square. If you want to check the place on google maps, look for "Square São João Batista Trancoso", on his instagram he even has a photo in front of the Trancoso church and in front of his house with the square behind.

    @Ygor K Yes i have, as a brazillian, on real state business, not tourism. kkkk you dont get it ... the "poor people" for tourists to see, can go there, they work on hotels, shops, etc, they are there to serve the tourism industry,l and make money on the process. Just to pay for a license to have a stand there, means that they are not poor people hahaha, and everything there is very "regulated". They can dress like one, but they are not poor. Btw their Tapioca costs at least 4x more than the ordinary sold on the city, and it is sold this way, because the taxes there and licenses costs small fortunes. A very tiny house on Trancoso, has a market value 20x more than the same house on downtown, and i am not comparing with the slums. The REAL poor people that live very far are "convinced" to not go there, for obvious reasons, it would ruin the tourism industry there. It is well know that Trancoso are for the wealthy tourist, specially foreigners, and these plp hate the real Brazil. Brazil is poor, violent, cheap, chaotic on full speed and Trancoso is just like a "Disney" , the cops will not tolerate "wrong plp there". That is why Trancoso has a really bad reputation with the brazillians, and a wonderfull reputation with foreigners, on the end, lets say, that Trancoso represents our inequality and is, as we say: "just for gringos to see".

  • @marciobranco6192

    @marciobranco6192

    4 жыл бұрын

    @Ygor K Of course they are from there, and they are very far from the slums, wich is behind of airport, far from coastline, whats i am saying is that they are not poor, as you think ... If they were , they would not be living there at all.See yourself the opinion of brazillians that went there: www.tripadvisor.com.br/ShowTopic-g303279-i9747-k12291033-Trancoso_e_caro-Trancoso_Porto_Seguro_State_of_Bahia.html You will need to put on google translator, but will see that everything there is extremely expensive AND fakely poor, there is no poor plp living on the Square, the poorer would be the staff of the hotels, and still they receive pretty well. A Tapioca stand there generates 4x more money than a regular stand on another beach, so EVEN the tapioca guy is not poor. The last thing, did you know that only the locals, plp with residence there can do comerce there, by law ? So, the locals sell their exclusivity on the stands to other plp as partnerships, so in the end, the seller is doing very well, they even receive money from the governament as "cultural heritage patronage" something like that. It is an absurd, a slap on the face of the ordinary brazillian.

    14 hours away by plane and a long car ride too, which is probably 6 - 10 hours. No thank you. I don't want my get-away place to be that far from me. Every time I would be on that 14-frickin'-hour plane ride or taking that long-frickin' drive, the repeated question that would plague my mind would be, "why did I buy this?" If that's the question I keep asking myself going to it or returning home from it, that's not the place for me.

    The absolute distance is less than 7.000km. It wouldn’t take that long (14h) if there was a direct flight from NYC to Salvador (capital of Bahia State). Salvador is a city of over 3million people. I don’t know why there isn’t a direct flight to NYC. Brazil has big capital cities in the north-east, Salvador is the biggest. There could be direct flights to Fortaleza (2,5million people) and Recife (2million). It would be much easier for him and everyone in NYC who wants to spend some vacations in north-east Brazil. But maybe Brazilian government wants to make tourists spend couple days in Rio or São Paulo before going to north-east. I don’t know!

    Brasilien hat den Rio Acima (Minas Gerais) und ist deswegen schon eine Reise wert! Wie kann es sein, das ich, wenn ich mich in Frankfurt in den Flieger setze 12 Std.fliege und Er 14 Std.? Liegt N.Y. so ungünstig? Andersons Haus ist toll. Alles natürlich und perfekt in die Landschaft integriert. Der Ort Trancoso liegt im Süden von Bahia und hat seine Herkunft in einer Siedlung von Jesuiten mit der Kirche von São João Batista dos Índios, die im Jahr 1586 erbaut wurde. Der Ort wurde in den 1970er Jahren von Hippies neu entdeckt. Zu dieser Zeit bestand der Ort noch aus einer Allee, mit Häusern auf jeder Seite der historischen Kirche im Hintergrund - und freiem Blick auf das Meer. Das alles ist vorbei. Heute ist dieser Platz das historische Zentrum des Ortes Trancoso. Mit Beginn des Tourismus in den 1990er Jahren nahm der Bau von Infrastruktur, Straßen und neuen Häusern stetig zu, so dass Trancoso inzwischen zu einem größeren Ort an der Küste angewachsen ist. Es gibt eine Reihe von einstigen Hippie-Orten, gerade die Küste Bahias hoch (aber auch im Interior, im Inland). Die Leute kannten sich schon aus damals (mein bevorzugter war lange Zeit ITACARÉ, mehr nördlich Richtung Salvador). Heute weiß man nur noch von den Hippies, aber man erlebt den inzwischen eingebrochenen Tourismus, es sei denn, man kennt Leute mit Geheimtipps. Bonito hat der Tourismus schon kaputt gemacht! Traurig!

    Would Mr Cooper allow me to spend one of my vacations there. I would love to take my girls to his home for a vacation. We might take 5 years to save the money but knowing that accommodation is free that would be amazing. Love from Guyana 🇬🇾

    I remember my trip to Costa Rica. I would imagine, bug wise, about the same. Lots of towels at night at the bottom of doors. Not one or two little creatures at a time...it's like an aircraft museum walking in.
