I had one of these. It was my first ever VCR but mine was branded as a HMV model HV 1000 but it was the same machine. I still have the instruction book.

Ohh cool toploader VCR I have the Saba version of this vcr (basiclly this excact VCR with a diffrent brand on it). Also I like how soft the eject is at 1:42 on my VCR it slams up cause the dampning is gone

I actually found the damping annoying and disabled it. It was too slow at raising the tape lol.

I love the lever buttons on it.

I love the Greek ads.

That's amazing, a 1979 VCR that works! Where did you find this? Also is it possible to show the bottom side of the mechanism?

Oh my god, your tape! It dosen't have a cover that says "Do not touch the tape inside"!! IT'S GONNA BE VULNERABLE TO DUST, MOISTURE AND ALSO, HEAT!!!! UNDERSTAND!?

I know. I removed the cover intentionally. It was just a junk tape. :)
