I was surprised too, but I wouldn't imagine that he actually believes that, it's just for motivational purposes. There is no way that the quality of the Royal Navy has slipped to the level of the incompetent Russians. The Russians are still dangerous though, and we do need to keep an eye on them. Glad to see that the RN is still up to the task.

The Russian sailors don't have to concern their every other thought / decision with 'how will this conform to Diversity , Equity and Inclusion ..? ' The Russians are toxically masculine and focus instead on 'drills , using their weapons systems , ' and silly things like that instead .. ! Barbaric ! Funny how Stalin has political commissar officers among the ranks in order to enforce government's current thing -- now the UK / West are getting political commissar officers to do the same ! The more things change the more they stay the same . @@IusedtohaveausernameIliked

The three stripes on the collar represent Nelsons three Battles, the Silk represents the the head band worn by sailors who used to wear tar in the hair (Jack Tars), the lanyard was an homage to the RN gunners, what's missing is the two hills and a valley on their collars which represented the lifting of the siege of Ladysmith when Naval Guns were transported over land. There are others that skip my mind, such as the Bow on the cap tally over the left ear and why the white caps were once referred to as Port and Starboards, I know that to look inside one you would see Red on one side and a white stripe down the middle and the other side green. The Bell bottoms could also be used as a floatation device.

Be glad Im not in Charge fems. @33:40 Communications Blackout, EMCON ALFA is the norm around enemies, your TikTok and Facebook updates as well as your families will be just fine. Y’all allow the enlisted to have beards and men wear ear rings, what’s wrong with a lil blow… 🤣 Royal navy is weak with no discipline!

You all clearly don't know a thing about being part of a crew on a warship. Remember that those who serve are the modern day pirates that defend your freedom to post foolishness. At the end of the day, they're trained to be killers. Who cares about how they groom or dress themselves as long as they go and fight where you clearly might fear to go.

Pretty homogeneous crew on that ship, wasn't diversity supposed to be UKs greatest strength. Only one guy, and in a classic WW2 fashion he's the cook.
