For those wondering why this property has multiple basement levels, it's mainly because of the historic preservation and height restrictions that prevent the owners from being allowed to add more floors above. Oftentimes in these historical townhouses, they don't allow the owners to alter the exterior at all.

This is a very interesting blend of 1800s meets modern architecture. The pool area is unbelievable. My favorite room is the formal sitting area off of the entry. The gold fixtures in the kitchen were unexpected. I could do without the nightclub.

The level of detail and thought is breathtaking. I think this is my favorite that i have seen thus far. The only downside is the amount of stairs (although the stairs are as beautiful and detailed as the rest of the house.) I'm not too keen on elevators, so I would mostly be taking the stairs but that can get a little rough the older you get. I'd be fine now but it is not a home you could retire in.

As a retired Architect I’d like to point out that this home is in a class of its own. I’ve designed and built homes that are by all accounts “high end” but I just HAVE TO SAY THIS: This home is in a class that is reserved for the likes of The Biltmore estate or the homes in Newport Beach R I. The quality of the masonry, tile and woodwork is the difference between say a loaded Cadillac vs. a Rolls Royce. Both are considered top shelf but if you are in the know you can see clearly the superior work put into a Rolls. This house is like that! It’s amazing and so gracefully put together that it’s hard to imagine it as just another mansion. This is truly a work of art and I give my professional and personal opinion based on years of building expensive homes. I used to think my homes were outstanding but now I know better after viewing this remarkable home. Thanks a lot guy who built it🤣 Outstanding content ✌️🇺🇸

How can you enjoy this knowing that there are filthy rich people who can afford this, when in that same country hundreds of thousands of people live in squalid appartments and need to go to the food banks? Shouldn't this make you mad? I'm baffled by these comments, Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful house and no offence to you, but the thought of enjoying this when it blatantly highlights the enormous socio-economic differences in our society is just alien to me. It just makes me think that there is a very low amount of class conscience in our society and the culture the rich people created is becomming the new status-quo, without anyone wondering it this is the right way of distributing wealth.

But i guess there just is something about blatantly showing these riches to people that can't afford it, and it being acceptable that makes me angry about the increasingly normalising effect our culture has. That seems to be a common thing in London and Paris because the space to expand outward isn't there, but there are plenty of people with millions of dollars to spend on their home. So they expand downward leaving the exterior of the home looking much the same while giving them more living space and some unusual additions. Not sure how many new buyers would want or use the disco. The movie theater was fine, if a bit small. The pool is a good addition that I suspect many owners would like.

I think he said 16 meters below ground that would be 52.49 feet giving you approximately 13.5 feet per floor, if it was 60 meters below ground is 198.65 feet that would be 49.625 feet per floor given that there are 4 underground levels one of those levels we didn’t get to see much of other than the landing and the door to the upper level of the night club where the dj booth is but according to the specs in cogemads website there is also dancing areas on the upper section of the nightclub. We didn’t get to see anything to do with the 4th sub level which I imagine would hold a lot of the equipment for the house because the home also has a security room, a pbx room and I’m sure there must be another catering kitchen in the sub basement if you are going to have the house full of party goers, there’s no way a chef could prepare an entire buffet in that little kitchen so I’m sure there are things we didn’t get to see. One real drawback on this property is that it is in a densely packed culdesac in Paris with narrow alleys entering into a circular courtyard where everyone has their cars parked there’s another building directly behind the house with only a sliver of backyard and there’s no alley behind the house to park in, there’s no underground parking so you would have to fight for a parking place outside and carry all your groceries up a flight of stairs and all through the house to get to the kitchen which has no back door.

By far my favourite viewing on your channel! 😍 Please do more in the Southern parts of America, England, France, Italy, Holland and Scandinavian countries. It's as close as I can get to the world from little old New Zealand. Just love the old colonial, Victorian and Renaissance style mansions around the world ❤

Wow wow wow. I'm obsessed with period real estate, it's why I love The Parisian Agency. They really hooked you up with this one. What a gem - I do wish they were a bit more style consistent with the home, now some of the classic finishes come off more kitchy than they should.
