To get the ssh access for either Node during RHCSA exam:- The default for the sshd_config(5) PermitRootLogin option has changed from "yes" to "prohibit-password". vi /etc/ssh/sshd_config PermitRootLogin prohibit-password (please change it to like below) PermitRootLogin yes systemctl restart sshd

I wish I found this video before taking the exam I was lost at the beginning and lost a few minutes.

Thank you, guys! It's really helpful because I believe you need to get familiar with the interface beforehand otherwise, you'll have to learn the interface and spend valuable time during your exam. It's pretty important since I'm paying for myself. It would be great to study some kind of interface guide prior to taking an exam. PS: I just tested changing the font size in the console. I see the combination Ctrl - makes it smaller.

I agree, it's very unclear if you're unused to Gnome, unused to their environment ... the instructions should really be a lot clearer. Links to Terminal and Start VM Console on the Desktop would be a real help (is that too advanced for Gnome? :)

Do you share your screen during exam?

So even if you select a QWERTZ layout at the beginning it will still be QWERTY on the VM?

Ssh root@node1 didn’t work. Permission denied. I think in RHEL 9 the root login config Is by default is No. using the vm console we need to fix the ssh config file first

do this… In the console: vim /etc/ssh/sshd_config then look where it says #PermitRootLogin prohibit-password. Remove the comment(#) and replace prohibit-password with yes. Save it then run ssh from the terminal. You should be good.

@@shuioso5105 A newer looking interface is being worked on, when it's released, I don't know. It will have the same functionality, it's just that it will look more modern
