What I love about this channel is when I'm in pain, I can listen to Kirsten's soothing voice (sorry Joerg) Totally relax and allow my mind to feel peace. X

When the world gets to be too much, I retreat into K&J's videos where peace reigns and I can dream of living in an English cottage!

Rainy is not miserable. It's beautiful. You just need to use an umbrella.

Well, we had such heavy rain the week before that we had to abandon a video and accommodation and sadly lost money. We don’t mind rain but it would have destroyed all our camera gear I’m afraid.

When I was four years old, our neighbor had a Yorkie which I loved and knew I would have one someday. Finally, my husband and I were so proud to welcome two, four-pound little chaps, Winston Chandler and Godfrey Archibald (brothers and we just couldn't split them up), into our lives and I was never happier. They had fresh top knots every day and their "skirts" (long hair curled up at the floor) groomed, befitting handsome gentlemen. Sadly, after many years of pure bliss with them, they passed away and cannot be replaced but their sweet memories remain in our hearts forever.

This house means a real inspiration to me. Everything is so beautiful, the furniture, the fabrics, the cushions, the wallpapers. I really don't know where to stop.... an absolutely gorgious place...

Yea I agree. This series of videos is my escape to the UK and I am just amazed and inspired by the décor and the edibles.

Speechless. Just want to revisit the rooms and spend much more time in each one. Will be doing so as you filmed it so beautifully. Each room is a gem. They could not have had a more perfect guide than you, Kristen, to show cast this lovely B&B. Your love for the fabrics, paint, wall coverings and decorating is so evident and so helpful. Joerg is the perfect country gentleman. What a splendid country visit.

Kirsten as always you ideas of decor, of what is charming and elegant matches mine. I long for days spent in places like this, enjoying a drink and a book around an open fire. The thoughts of reality TV bland clinical decor and modern technology all but forgotten. Simple pleasures are the best.

Loved the tour of this beautiful “Great House”. Wondering if you have ever thought about interviewing the owners of the places you stay? I would love to hear how they decided to purchase a location, what changes or updates or discoveries they made, how they chose to decorate a room, and where to visit locally for site seeing. I think you and Jorge have such a charming way about you both and I bet most people wouldn’t mind answering a few questions on camera. My hubby and I also love when you visit area shops near where you stay. Everything is so quaint and picturesque. Every time I think you've found the cutest home out there, you go and find another! I adore the Lorna Doone suite, the painted blossoms are beautiful, but every room has its charm. What a gorgeous house. Each bedroom is perfectly lovely, unique and individual. Oh my, how to choose a favorite. The built in storage in most of the rooms is very utilitarian. The stacked bunks in the Family suite are quite clever. What child wouldn't love one of those beds! Oh yes, the clarinet lamp sticks - who'd have thought! Can you imagine the Luttrell suite at Christmas? As I am partial to red, I'm most drawn the the Dunster suite. The food looked delicious. I'm going to put the kettle on now. Thank you Kirsten and Joerg for another lovely tour.

When I die and IF :-) I go to heaven, I certainly hope it's decorated like this gorgeous home! Ha ha!! Wow! Just beautiful. I love the color of your room. The tree mural on the wall is so elegant. All the rooms are just gorgeous. I agree with you about the green tiles in the bath. Green isn't my color, but it works in that bath. Such elegance in each room. The dining room is wonderful. Those scones look delish. Oh, the lounge is perfect. It's so cozy and inviting. I can just imagine sitting there on a cold winter's night. Fireplace warmth, a drink and good company. Yes, perfect.

The Luttrell suite and the Club lounge put me in mind of the Orient Express as I imagine it. But your room is my favorite of the bedrooms, I think. The boxed in headboard is charming and reminiscent of historic beds. I'll look into the Edward Bulmer book you show. I think the three most key elements in this type of interior are (1) walls painted in strong colors or patterned paper, (2) fabrics window treatments, and (3) patterned rugs. That's the basic trifecta. Window seats, hardwood or tiled floors, and upholstered chairs help, too. Oh, and patterned lampshades! I admire you both for your enthusiastic forays into romantic worlds. This is my kind of fantasy living! I suggest that you show a map of the UK at the start of each episode, with a little flag or star locating the site. As it turns out, though, I did a quick internet search on Somerset and found a site chock full of info on the area, including places to stay. It must be hard to choose, with so many lovely and inviting options. Thanks again for taking us along! And, Kirsten, your polka dot dress is darling! Cheers!

Liebe Kirsten und Jörg, durch Zufall habe ich euch gefunden und ich muss sagen, ihr bereichert mein Leben. Ich schaue mir nun nach und nach alle eure Videos an. Ich beherrsche leider nicht die englische Sprache so gut, also schaue ich jedes Video einmal in englischer Sprache und danach nochmal mit deutschen Untertiteln an. Ich habe also in nächster Zeit keine Langeweile. 😅 Meine Lieblingsvideos sind die, wo ihr euer Haus renoviert und dekoriert. Zu meiner großen Freude, habe ich heute eins von meinen bestellten Büchern bekommen, die du empfohlen hast, und zwar „Living in the Countryside „. Ich bin so glücklich über das Buch. Als erstes sehe ich Bilder von Carl Larsson. Zufällig habe ich im Treppenhaus, Drucke von ihm hängen. Jetzt sitze ich in meinem Ohrensessel und genieße das Buch. Danke ❤❤❤❤❤

Liebe Elke, das ist so ein lieber Kommentar und freut uns so riesig, vielen herzlichen Dank dafür! Wir machen in der kälteren Jahreszeit auf jeden Fall auch wieder Videos zu Hause. Leider dauert unser Esszimmer noch sehr lange wegen der extrem langen Lieferzeiten, deshalb können wir auch das erst wahrscheinlich zur Weihnachtszeit zeigen, weil wir keinerlei Update haben. Mit der Küche hat sich bei uns noch nichts getan, weil meine geliebte Mutter vor 3 Mutter gestorben ist, ich über einen Monat in Deutschland war und unsere Welt total auf dem Kopf steht. Meine Arbeit auf KZread lenkt mich aber ab und dadurch habe ich tagsüber keine Zeit überhaupt nachzudenken. Aber es kommen immer wieder sehr dunkle Wolken. Luttrell suite was my favorite! Those colors and that bed! 🥰 And the club lounge is super cozy!
