insane update! Genshin 2 is Officially Confirmed! Release Date - Genshin Impact

Recently , the developers of the popular game Genshin Impact have hinted at the release of a second installment. Today, I will discuss what we know so far about Genshin 2.
I'll cover the type of game it might be, potential main characters, and speculate on the setting and timing of the story.
First and foremost, the announcement of a second part was made by Xiao Luohao, the head of the Genshin Impact writing team, during a discussion with university students. He revealed that the current game's storyline only accounts for about one-third of the planned narrative, indicating there is much more content to come in the future.
While the full story may not be completed for some time, the developers have the resources to continue the journey in the form of a second installment.
As for the potential release timeline, we know that Genshin Impact is set to expand with at least three more regions: Natlan, Snezhnaya, and the ruined Khaenri'ah. Natlan is scheduled to be added by the end of this summer, and new regions are typically introduced annually. Considering this, the overall Genshin storyline may reach its conclusion around 2027.
Therefore, it's reasonable to assume that Genshin 2 could be released sometime between the end of 2027 and the beginning of 2028, which would be approximately 3-4 years from now. The journey ahead is far from over.
Regarding the main character, it's worth noting that in miHoYo's games, the protagonists are often designed to be blank slates, unfamiliar with the game's universe, allowing players to project themselves onto the character.
There are a few possibilities for the direction Genshin 2 could take:
1. A prequel, delving into the history of Teyvat and its legends before the arrival of the Traveler.
2. A completely new setting, perhaps on another continent or even a colonized planet, with different characters, lore, and mechanics, similar to Honkai Impact 3rd.
3. A direct sequel, potentially allowing players to continue their journey as the Travelers.
Regardless of the approach, it's likely that Genshin 2 will offer various rewards and free pulls for players upon its release, as is common practice for major updates

If there's a Genshin 2 then how long will it take for the anime? 😭
Hopefully in Genshin 2 we either get the story of the other travelers journey or the story that led to the events of the archon war/ what happened while the traveler was there the first time before the 500 year slumber

They should, coz there's much stories to explore.. the lore timeline is more than 5000 years.. so much potential for prequels. Maybe we can switch character to traveler sibling (around 500 years ago right before cataclysm), or maybe before that

@@armanke13 yeah but I want the sequel that is set 300 years after to start over, but this time with a new protagonist this time solo protagonist like Kiana as well as a brand new cast of characters the plot would be akin to xenoblade chronicles 3 and kingdom of the planet of the apes It’s going to be set on hyperborea a new setting like teyvat it’s going to have 9 nations instead of 7 and this is a wish list of nations on hyperborea Greek mythology like setting Norse mythology like setting Polynesian mythology like setting Indonesian mythology like setting Ancient Mexico like setting Libertatia like setting (a pirate setting theme) ancient Native American like setting Ancient Rome like setting Bionis from xenoblade chronicles like setting And also it’ll be cool if they bring in Xenoblade chronicles 3 composer yasunori mitsuda and manami kiyota

This caused a new conflict on hyperboera with the 3 nations greek norse and Indonesia all 3 nations travel for life but the ones behind the conflict that started this is a secret organization called the foundation which keeps the track of the flow kinda like moebius from xenoblade 3 As for the plot in tone, it’ll be similar to Xenoblade chronicles 3 with mixed with kingdom of the planet of the apes
It think genshin 2 will be made from Unreal Engine instead of Unity to compete with WuWa
