As crazy as it sounds, the first step is to be crazy enough to believe you can get to that level. One of Ichika’s influences is the legendary Russel Malone, so I can imagine there must have been one day where Ichika must have had to tell himself, “you know what, as crazy as it may seem, imma play like Russell Malone and I’m not letting go of that for anything.” Now, it’s time for the next generation to be crazy enough to say, “you know what, one day, I’ll be able to play like Ichika Nito…” (and put in the work of course to back it up).

Nice, this is basically fingerstyle on electric guitar and I like to see that this genre gets more exposure in the electric world with all these alterate tunings and chordal approach. Keep it up 👍🏻

John often uses a drop C tuning, such as for Neon. He also plays fingerstyle to get nice arpeggios

Question for ichika: when doing these exotic tunings, does he ever worry that a string might snap or be too loose? Tuning a B-string up to F or Db... seems very risky.

It's interesting because it makes it much easier to stack thirds into traditional chords, since the string interval is seconds instead of the fourths (except for the D-b third) in standard tuning.
Every song Ichika plays is what the Song of Healing from Majora's Mask sounds like to the people who hear it.
My personal favorite was ABCDEF. I know it was the first one, but this stuff auto played and that came up and changed my whole view of what was possible for guitars. Holy man. I wish that beautiful song was extended.

So I broke the highest string on my guitar and didn’t have any of that gauge so I replaced it with another 13 gauge string like the second highest string and now I have it tuned DADGAA
