Here we have Yannick Poinsignon´s Monster used in the French Hillclimb Championship, a BMW M3 E92 Naturally Aspirated Monster with GT2 bodywork powered by one of the greatest V8 units in all of Hillclimb Racing, a S65B44 with 4.5L and producing around 620Hp. Weighs 1230Kg and features such goodies as 6-Speed Sequential Gearbox by Drenth, Carbon Transmission, and AP Racing brakes. And here we can see it on Max Attack Mode at Col St. Pierre, Abreschviller and Turckheim where it fought for overall Victory among Touring Cars (winning two and placing 4th on the other)- Hopefully we can feature it during this 2024 Season much more.

Its more like LS 5.0L V8 N/A. Judd engines have higher tone.

@@joe125fulI agree with that but this still has a nice high pitch and man does it sound powerful. Truly knocks M3 GTR’s P60 sound out of the park.
The sound of BMW M3 E92 on that engine is like Yamaha YZR-M1 had a baby.

Tbf yh at high revs, although I think in lower revs sounds like a sauber c9/10. My dream bike is the mt10 with the same engine

Interesting connection and I have to agree that I hear it too now that you mention it. It sounds like what you'd expect 2 of those crossplane r1 engines arranged in a V and running open header to sound like. Nice. Love the S65!

Well if the description is right and it still is a s65 then it technically is a cross plane v8. The Actual BMW race cars effectively use a s65 with a flat plane crank though.
When NASCAR and Aprilia join forces to make an engine note.

Best sounding Hillclimber ever!!!! Once again, it makes me miss the Z8 in GT3 racing that used the same engine. I loooooove the V10s from the Hurracans and R8s, so for me to say this BMW sounds even better is quite a statement and definitely something I don't say lightly. Awesome!!
