here is a thought : what if the GT1 regulation would have stated that the cars could not be engaged before 100 produced and sold ? With minimum modifications such as brakes, dampers, radio ,aerodynamic flaps . We would have maybe some GT1 less extreme or more reasonable economically, but also a serie which could have lasted longer. The 911 GT1 would look like more a road car. The CLK-GTR would have never existed ! As well the Lotus V8 But maybe the Ferrari F50GT would be battling ! In a less extreme form.
