@@stevelee5724 for sure if you're gonna stuff a few hundred more hp under the bonnet and track the car, then yeah. But as far as a stock or even tuned boxster engine goes for the street... I'll pass on the fin. A cool cantilever wing would be hot though

Different style of video from your normal ones but I liked it. Thanks for letting me know about Vale. I live in the UK and haven’t heard of them before.

Side note; I seriously think they should make another 911 GT1. Hands down their best looking 911 from the 90s.

I actually liked the fin a lot. Not sure what about it was controversial but I’d definitely would want it if I did a build with this kit.

For sure. I'm not a Porsche guy - I see the appeal but I wouldn't stand in line for it - but that model is just *chef's kiss* Personally, with the fin add a wing on it and it would be perfection for me

Maybe it was for security reasons. Like if you have an accident you could slice a human in half. But I am not sure if thats the case. There must have been a legal reason.

Probably not, but your best bet is to ask them. They are probably aware of why it's not compatible and if it can be done with some extra elbow grease.

They state it can be fitted those models: 986, 981, 987. I believe the 981 is not so far away from the 982. But if you ask them, they will tell you.

That kit with a ls swap is a no joke car.

The first Boxster was slower than you can imagine. I drove one back in the day and my (then) stock RX-7 would smoke it stupid. And it wasn't just at the redline, it was all across the power band. This car, to be done properly would likely cost more than both a kit from Factory 5 (assembled and ready to rumble) or a nice stock Cayman, which looks 100 times better than this, it is actually a 100% Porsche and has a mid engine and a decent performance. I don't see it going anywhere. But I'm sure some will give it a shot.

Don't know about your imagination. Can only say I own a few Porsches. I was recently offered a 2.5L 986, cheap as chips, so couldn't resist adding it to my collection, as I didn't have any drop-top. It's not slow at all, it's a very decent car.

I own a Toyota mr2 and put about $3,500 in it. 300 hp turbo engine, new axels, new break system, new bushings, new suspension. You don’t have to go buy something new to have a little fun.

I liked the "European units" for price comparison. Lol. So in Canadian it will be around $17,500 which is a cheap enough buy in for a car that for not much more money spent building it compares favorably to lower end supercarsbin looks and performance.

I was looking for any cheap 911 even there any egg headlight type, finally thought down to a Boxster and then I found a BMW Z4 on it by here pay here lot. It was wrecked out, but once I realized what the BMW Z4 was and how much they go for yeah… Much more practical less weird Breaky stuff and still gets the looks

Honestly, if my next job gives me enough cash, i might do that and drive up to weißbach, since its just mere 20 km from me and show that to the real porsche workers, to then see what they think of that

I don’t think the fin was really necessary on a not such powerful car. And although u may play with the engine, i still doubt the fin would be useful (and let’s not forget it adds weight, so if the fin isn’t necessary better to just ditch it). Plus, ditching the rear kinda gives it a 959 figure from the side :)
