The wreckage of Flight 19 WAS found, Pat. It was still in formation like 1000 feet below the surface on the sea floor and had no damage that would indicate hitting the surface of the water. Only damage was broken windows and what happens to anything under the ocean, encrusted with barnacles and stuff. No signs of bodies or skeletons were found, though.

Haven't listened to the pod yet but I've got some topics I'd like to hear discussed. The thousands of toads migrating in Utah for 1. I'm trying to figure out what kind of toads they are to better understand the event, but no one cares it seems, they just want a story of course. Western plains toads I'm guessing. Another thing that's been on my mind is what percentage of turtles mature, and hatchling, do you think get trapped or stuck in tight spots and things and don't get out? I'm always hyper aware of what I add to my ponds and enclosures to prevent this, but is it something to really worry about? Also, ive had enormous beetles, 2 different kinds I've never seen before, land on my house in wyoming, just 2 nights apart. I'm a bug guy and I thought this was odd being that I'd never seen these before and so big. Are bugs expanding their territories and making a comeback? Thanks guys, love the channel and the new one.

Today i turned 24! Anyways Prehistoric animal of the week! In honor of shark week today instead of a dinosaur we have Helicoprion also known as the buzz saw shark- a shark from about 20 million years ago that is perhaps the most well known exctinct shark after megalodon. Helicoprion is know for its very weird buzzsaw shaped bottom jaw which was the only part of them that would usually fossilize given they are sharks made out of cartilage. Although we dont know much about this shark it is thought to have grown from 16-26 feet in length with the largest known "tooth whorl" being 22 inches in diameter which would have belonged to a roughly 25 foot shark! As not much is preserved our thoughts on how the shark looks has changed many times over the years from the teeth being outside of the mouth to now being mostly covered up inside although we don't know for certain. Shame we've lost such a unique animal before we got to see it but many prehistoric sharks had weird things going on! Happy shark week everyone and happy 24th b-day to me!

A lot of the biggest sharks live in the deep like goblin and Greenland sharks. They call it deep sea gigantism, from evolutionary pressure to be as metabolic efficient as possible, like the giant and colossal squid.

🇬🇧 I absolutely adore Sharks & any deep sea creature, they are so facinating 🦈 I used to live in Australia during the mid 1960s & 70s with my parents & have seen my fair share of ocean creatures, including seeing a shark attack while sitting on the cliffs overlooking Manley Beach in NSW The shark alarms had sounded off but it was so windy the surfing guys didnt hear it until they noticed everyone making for the beach. I remember seeing the fins of a large Bull Shark coming up behind One guy sitting on his board making for the beach. From our elevated position we saw it all, the attack, the frothing of the water, the blood around the board. It was very traumatic to witness But the guy fought back & the lifeguard launch was on its way & we actually saw them getting the guy on the boat with his left lower leg missing. We later talked to the guy ( 8 months later) as some friends knew him & he said he felt nothing but tremendous pressure on his leg, like a vice gripping his leg. He was so philosophical & not bitter, a shark doing what sharks do was his answer! He still surfed & swam. Theres only one sea creature that terrifies me, im really really Frightened of this type of shark & i dont know why, its just a gut wrenching feeling & i cant look at them in any shape or form & its the Goblin shark.... Shudder... Cant watch them even on film or small screen.. no no no no way Thanks for your vids Peace 🇬🇧👧

I’m pretty sure Forrest just hired the wrong guy to show him and his crew members the good food in Taiwan and not everyone here eats those weird parts of chicken….and i have never heard of anyone eating chicken eyeballs here my entire life. I guess he probably didn’t have a chance to try boba tea, soup dumplings and beef noodle soup to name a few when he was filming his show in Taiwan; otherwise, he wouldn’t have talked trash about Taiwanese food like that. Apart from that, I’m a fan of the podcast and enjoyed all the animal content.

The rate of ships, planes, etc, going missing in the Bermuda Triangle is no more than the average anywhere else in the world. The reason it seems like there are so many is only because it is an extraordinarily large amount of traffic it gets. It is one of the most heavily trafficked waterways on the planet. Per the amount of traffic it gets, the amount that go missing is no more than the average.

28:56 eating every part of the animal is common in a lot of cultures where meat isn’t readily available. I appreciate the utilization of every part of the animal, but even as a foodie myself I would have been appalled. I have had almost all of that in my life. Heart, brain, liver, kidney, feet, tongue, tripe, etc. the list goes on. Some of it is actually really good. But at the end of the day I’d still rather eat the chicken thigh than it’s feathers or beak 😂😂😂😂
