Nice WJ. My son and I built long arms with triangulated 4-link rear and swapped in JK Dana 44 axles into his 2004 WJ. Johnny Joints and Tom Woods driveshafts as well as replaced the 242 transfer case with a 231 as no need to full-time or full-time 4WD option. We also did the fuel tank tuck as well as fabricated front/rear bumpers and tire carrier. Greatly improved the approach and departure angles. We build sliders as well as a tubular storage rack inside the rear cargo area to hold his Powertank and Hi-Lift jack. One thing I suggest is clocking the knuckles to keep a near zero driveshaft to pinion angle on the front and be able to get 6+ degrees of caster. One of the best things we did for handling on his WJ. The reclocking of the knuckles and cutting the coil spring buckets on the axle and changing the angle to keep the coils from arcing was paramount in a proper vibration free WJ with 6+ inches of lift. Enjoy you trip out west here. You'll love it. Mike

I just bought my first WJ. 3 weeks ago. I owned a 76 Jeep Cherokee Chief when I was 17years old. I was inspired to fix her up by watching this channel and some others. I feel more confident in transforming her into an awesome 4x4 that I can take my kids to some neat places in Arizona! I love your channel. I am learning a great deal. Thank you!

Those rear lower long arms are upside down . But beautiful Jeep!! The rear lowers are curved to hug the bottom of the body for ground clearance

If you come to Seattle area let’s go wheeling! I know it’s an XJ but check out how we trimmed our fenders and used 3M molding to make it look pretty much factory.

With regard to the EVAP system, in 2001 the canister/pump and other associated equipment was actually in the engine bay, tucked in behind the brake booster. Which eliminates the canister from behind the tire and eliminates one of the lines running the full length of the vehicle. Ive bought the the entire system at local salvage in my area for less than 40$. Its tedious, but a rock solid solution you only have to do once. Great build my friend!!

That's is one heck of beautiful Wj I had a 99 in the taupe frost color. Unfortunately it met it's unfortunate demise because of the Michigan rust the rear axle snapped off the body and the upper rear a arm on the body side was gone. It would be awesome to see you guys do an xj conversion into a truck so that it ends up as a 4 door truck maybe even rock crawler style.

It looks really good. I just bought some varilock diffs for mine. Haven't got them in yet. I may be the smallest wj in the ozarks. But I think those will help a lot. I have a 2 inch lift. Everyone tells me I need a adjustable track bar. But it seems fine without it. My wj gets great fuel mileage. At 65 on the highway it gets 24 mpg. I'd like to see an old Comanche build

Try using a Bosch platinum +4 the plug code is 4428 and dump in some BG EPR before an oil change and you'll extend that engines life and actually wake it up. I'm tempted to do another Jeep build very similar to yours but this time I'm going to do a T-case swap to a select-trac as I want the ability for 2 wheel drive. Nice build!

Working on my WJ and eventually would like to have a 4 1/2 inch lift. I’ve got the 4.0 but I really hope to have it done soon

Only use that JKS for self defense. The bushings in it will guarantee death wobble, and jks insists they are spec’ed for a wj.

Started my WJ build 2 months ago after I got it. She’s a budget jeep called Greta Van Jeep. One badass woman on the streets and a fun ride on the trails. Hoping to do the IRO 6.5 or 4inch long arm kit

Just a heads up that drag link's bend is supposed to point forward rather than down on the Trail Forged Steering. I've been running it for about 10k miles on my WJ and it is good stuff though.

Solid WJ. I would love to see a 4.0L build doing a cheap supercharger swap from the GM 3800! I am partial to ZJs personally, but since you've got a built WJ perhaps an old comanche?
