@@majonkie I agree, at least amongst (some) reactors. Some of them are so focused on the others. Of course it's well-deserved, but Cesar for me is the cherry on top of an already delicious, irresistible musical concoction. And he's a sassy little cherry too! I've said it before and I'll say it again-from the moment he flicked that fan open in "We're Good," with that look on his face (I ADORE how much he acts with his facial expressions) I KNEW he was something sweet, sassy and special.

@@lauragraves4342My sympathies. I have always had mixed feelings about this song. It is beautiful, and powerful but so disturbing. But I absolutely detest Frollo. He is everything that is bad about people. And with today’s world the way it is, his sanctimonious and hypocritical personality just strikes really close to home for some of us. Again, you have my sympathies. 🔥

Hellfire, but they hit god level with this one. I love the modern beat with it and the fact they stuck Tony with the guard role. Buckle up for Geoff's solo because it's even better, and that one was truly made for Geoff's range and talent.

I thought itsounded like it was Layne. Plus he wasn't doing the vocal perc at that time so it made sense it would be him.

Did you notice the flames in Geoff's eyes towards the end? Epic!

What an arrangement....each one did an amazing Job!!! Geoff went Off the Charts!!!

The gaurd was Tony. Part of the reason for the break is that Geoff had covid, he lost his voice with it and obviously felt horrid so it halted a lot of things they had in production.

His son brought it home from school so he, Kathy and William were sick for several weeks. At least it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Thank God.

The guard is none other than Tony Wakim. He was at Patty Cake that day and got roped into being the guard. Geoff said we have three generations of VoicePlay baritones in one video. You know that Geoff has a new Halloween video coming out Sooooooon.

Cesar often does parts that sound like instruments. A good example is the beginning of In theAir Tonight. And he has the range. Remember that he sang the highest notes in Dream On. I think he likes Layne pushing him to try new things.

Honestly how does it get any better? That was epic beyond epic!

Regarding doing more extensive reactions, Mortius did an analysis of VoicePlay’s “Oogie Boogie’s Song” that he couldn’t call a reaction because he had already seen and heard it. So he put up a folder to cover the screen so he could focus on the audio without being distracted by the visuals. He then noticed a spot where Earl tells Santa “You aren’t comprehending the position that you’re in,” and Geoff does the same line several octaves lower. He (and I) had never noticed it before, and now I can’t watch it without noticing that.

It is one of my favorite reactions/analyses that he’s ever done. Some of the things he pointed out just jump out at me now when I listen to it. There’s a long moan Eli does when Oogie is approaching Santa. I’d never noticed it before and I had listened to it so many times. But now it seems so obvious.

Awesome reaction as always Qofy. This is perfection. So beautiful and powerful. Tomorrow Geoff will be the Disney villain from Nightmare Before Christmas. Rollercoaster riding ahead 😊 Two villains in two days. They're giving us lots of candy.

Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. I love how Geoff finally got a lead solo in this. His highs are more like a rock high & Tim Foust is more like a Doo Wop high. I love how Geoff is expanding & finally showing us his full range . He said it's not about how high or how low you can sing but how good it sounds. His acting skills are by far the best. Geoff said his favorite character to play is the Villain & bad guy. He is the king of Halloween as well.

They did such a good job expressing the dichotomy that is Frollo. In the beginning where the more choral parts are, it segues into sounding in the background like the church bells are ringing. It gives such an atmosphere when Geoff becomes the evil that Frollo is.

Love your reactions to Voiceplay and Geoff! I must have watched this over 100 times since they released it on Patreon. I had never heard it before and it just grabs you, right??

Great analysis. I have to say that you have very good ears. I found it amazing that you could hear so many little details in the background by only listening to the song twice. Even given that you certainly have heard the song before (I had not, before VP did it), I found that quite impressive. Just keep on, I really like your reactions. :)

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched the first 5 minutes of this video just to watch your face. I absolutely loved your reaction to this masterpiece.

Oh and Tony is the guard. When I watched VoicePlay at noon, I couldn't keep the tears from flowing. He went from loving her to being willing to burn her. The guys bring in the harmonies and echoing Geoff's love for Esmerelda. The whole group was there again.

I knew your reaction would be the first and best! I have never been so impressed with VP as a whole but with Geoff in particular! I'm stunned by this. Just breathless. Thank you for your input.

I've always wanted for Geoff to go against a Bosendorpher 290. That piano goes down to C0. Bussoni asked them to make it so he could transcribe Back to the 32'C

I really wish they had focused the camera on Cesar a couple more times... what you called the "high trumpet section, watch Cesars hands. He is doing a section of air guitar like PTX did on that one song. But because they only pan past it, you only get to hear it, rather than seeing him "play".

Layne would be a bass in almost any group other than Voiceplay. He's "just" a low baritone compared to Geoff. I've noticed that Cesar has been adding other sound effects at the same time as Layne doing the percussion.

Has anybody noticed yet that Cesar shaved off some of his beard? Seems like the music has caught up all the attention-which is a great testimony to how extraordinary it is. But Cesar-VERY nice look! I caught the premier yesterday but didn’t have time to really sit with the piece and absorb it. The more I hear it the more I love it. This is a gorgeous arrangement and talk about bringing out the best in everyone! Well done! As always, you hear things I haven’t caught yet. I love your reactions, Qofy!

As someone who can make those Geoff notes, his first drop wasn’t a D1. If I try a D1, it’s shaky and unrefined. Meanwhile, that note from Geoff was pretty easy for me. It was a few notes higher in the first scale.

Tomi did a C0 in his Be Prepared cover, thats even lower than a D0.
