One of my favorites is when they are singing to Fiddlers gmGreen. There’s a flash of green light off to Eli’s side. It’s the only time the lights aren’t either red or blue. Details, details!

This is my favorite Voice Play video, although there are many others that are way up there for me. This one blows me away every time. The harmonies, ascending and descending arpeggios, counterpoint, drama, emotion, etc. Sheer beauty and amazement.

You two are having so much fun. In the Peaches mini, Geoff has a new high of Bb5. It might be a great opportunity to show him the Drunken Soldier! It's the same singing quintet with Bucky as the drunken soldier. Bucky was a member of 4:2:Five before it became VoicePlay. He's now working with Disney World as a voice actor.

The very best example of his crazy range is probably in The Oogie Boogie Song, where he does a run from a C6 (if i remember what i note matched it to right…) to an E0 (might have been an F0 its hard to tell through youtube quality my speakers, and at that harmonic range) in about 5 seconds with emphasized “footholds” smoothly transitioning each 2 octave jump as if he were swooping a butterknife through sunwarmed butter.

So enjoyed this!! Thanks! It's amazing that their original collaborator wasn't able to make it to the filming, so Eli quickly re-recorded as tenor 1 (from tenor 2) and Jose saved the day and stepped into Eli's original part. They are all amazing!! And that epic moment with the sword held high, that was all Jose, they watched the replay and VP saw it and was ecstatic. Jose is the perfect captain. Any of them would be great, Halo, Dragonborn Comes... all of them please!

QoFy, Thank you both for the best reaction to Voice Play ever. The two of you are so much fun together. As many times I watched this video you have pointed out so many things I missed. Keep in doing what you do best. ....Cesar can actually sing as high as Eli just not in a rocker voice. Eli has also filled in the bass line for Geoff at times while Geoff is singing. Layne actually has a wider range than Geoff if you count his inhale notes.

I've listened to this song practically every day since it came out. I listen to it on repeat in my sleep every night (except when I'm out of town-long story). And the video STILL gives me goosebumps! And every other night for about four hours, I listen to "Valhalla Calling" before sleep. And funny thing, I'm wearing "bathing suit" shorts that match yours in your first reaction to "Hoist The Colors!"

This was fun! I'd love to see how your friend would react to one of Geoff's solo tracks. "I See Fire" maybe, something with lots of high and low switches.

Why in the world would anyone be mad that you're having so much fun reacting to this amazing song?? This is why I come to listen to you -- I WANT to hear what you think about it! And yes, then I will go listen to the song ten more times on their channel, because I love it, but I want to see your reactions and your amazement and your joy at just how good it is.

It is easy to forget that they are doing it a capella. They are in a league of their own. Geoff has been down to an A0. If he gets any lower he'll fall off the end of the pinao, or we won't ve able to even hear him. His rumbling bass notes are as impressive as his vocal bass guitar sounds. Their arrangemesnts are out of this world. Stunning. Lovely to see someone with experience of choral work appreciating the blend of voices. Maybe that's another reason I love them so much, having sung in chours or in harmony so much in my youth. And yes Castellucci is an Italian name. He is of Italian descent, and so is his wife Kathy. And yes it's very hard to choose one to recommend.

It's been a blast watching you two react! Loved it. He needs to see Geoff's "I See Fire".

Qofy I just discovered your channel and boy am I glad I did! One of my favorite reactors now. I will tell you, I see a reaction video of 25+ minutes and usually I cringe because that means the reactor just loves to hear their own voice, pauses all over on every little thing they hear. YOU however, are pure gold, I love it. You pause to react to what you are hearing, usually with joy and amazement. This is my favorite song to introduce people to VoicePlay. You get Geoff's war horn, Cesar's ethereal falsetto, rock god Eli, Layne's crazy eyed baritone, and their signature phenomenal costumes, set, and lighting. This and Valhalla, except I think Valhalla would break people. It's hard to top Geoff's B0. You need to EASE people into that.

I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but Geoff has a five octave range. For a couple examples of his range there’s the Voiceplay cover of Oogie Boogie’s Song from Nightmare Before Christmas.
