INSANE Flight Sim Upgrade: Brunner CLS-E Rudders First Look!

Ойындар

My first impressions of the Brunner CLS-E MK II Force Feedback Rudder Pedals. Do the Brunner CLS-E Rudders Pedals really give you the feedback you’ve been missing from your flight simulator?
In this video I go through what you get in the box, some basics about the rudders pedals themselves and my first-time reactions flying them in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Make sure you subscribe for the full review which should be out in the next 3-4 weeks after I put some more flight sim time in.

My wife gave me the ok on purchasing these rudder pedals but I'm still on the fence about it. I have the yoke and don't regret a penny I spent on it. I commented on your yoke review video about turning the elevator and aileron down to 10% every time you fly for each plane but there is a master control in msfs 2020 and you only have to set it up one time which is great. I want the best realistic sim and this might complete it but the price is crazy for rudders. Great video like always. I have the MK ll yoke

  • @g-locmedia

Yea the price is up there. Sometime I think it depends where your sim is at. Could it benefit somewhere else with that sort of cash. I have to say though these are going to be the biggest miss when they go back to Brunner.

Great review 👍 looks like an awesome product. The main thing I’d be looking for with force feedback or motorised controls is that they work correctly when being trimmed. For example when trimming does the input pressure slowly reduce to zero so that when you remove your feet the pedals are in a new neutral position?

It would have to be a bit of a shock so it looked. I take my rudder pedals for granted like you say in the video my feet are on them but its a "use and forget them" because they do not have force feedback. I can't and DON'T want to fly without them but I never gave it a thought of just how much input they might make your mind think of in concentration as your flying after using non force feedback use and forget rudders. Nice Video.

  • @g-locmedia

Jeez I just bought the yoke based on your last review - you gonna cost me $$$ again? :-) I find the hardware trim the most rewarding thing with the yoke. I can take or leave a lot of the effects, in VR they don't always blend with what's going on, so I have them toned down quite a bit - just personal preference. I find the effects can be a fine line between adding to or breaking the immersion with these controls. So when you review these pedals, I'd really like to hear how they help with 'normal flying'. eg counter-acting torque effect on take-off, coming in to land with heavy gusts (which is very easy to over-correct with non-ffb pedals). And losing an engine as you touched on. Great video as always.

Those look fantastic and must add loads to the immersion and gaming experience !! Just looked up the price after converting from Swiss francs...unless I've got it wrong, £1628 !! I need a lotto win for my perfect rig lol !! I've had some proper flying lessons in a Cessna 172 here at Leicester airport and the first thing I noticed is the resistance in the yoke and pedals , plus the vibration of the aircraft and then that sinking feeling when you take off, all of which you don't get in the sim, unless you've got all the bells n whistles, motion rigs etc !! Would love to have a go in your sim G-Loc !! Dream on Daz haha !!

Unfortunately, no. I only live a few miles away from Leicester airport ( more like a small airfield ) and really got into MSFS 2020 last year. Fancied having a go for real but at £200 a lesson it was to be a treat. My instructor said he could tell I'd been using MSFS 2020 as I seemed to have a basic knowledge and picked up all that he taught me quickly! To get a PPL would cost around £7000. I was tempted but then wondered what could I actually do with it once I got it..not much apart from hire a Cessna at big expense and maybe fly a few friends to lunch on a sunny day. I'd love to but can't justify the cost sadly.
