Great e.t. for those tires. I've had my 67 since 1974. It's been a race car since it was new owned by Jim McNamara . A Detroit area car called the Hustler. It's been raced in many different classes. I think it was the most enjoyable when I drove it low key like this Chevelle in a stock optional class heads up in the 70's. Being a teen that's what I could afford. The name was perfect. These car's are the ultimate big block car. Has never let me down.
Never thought I would think this but that chevelle looked sweet with the stock rims
“How long do you plan on staging” Camaro and Chevelle: “Yes…”
Cool burnouts and great a race!
my cousin jimmy morgan had a 67 chevelle jus like this in euless,tx only he had a 327 in his. it was still a runner, lol ah those were the days !
Knew a guy who had a 67 chevelle ss with the same 396/ 375. He had a 4 speed and was getting into the 12s. Beautiful car that he had to sell when his wife got pregnant. Neighborhood kid bought it and didn't have it 3 weeks before it got away from him and he wrecked. Was trying to show off and did a burnout and was fish tailing and lost control. Drive it right into the woods damaging every body panel on the car.

All because of the wife smdh...always fucking guys lives up...
Whoever these two guys are. That's some Chevy showmanship right there! 😎
Two L78's. It's like Tyson vs Tyson. And that 70 1/2 is my dream muscle car. I had no idea only 600 were made. People say the LT1 was faster, I'm very skeptical about the claim. "The small block is so much lighter" they say. I've seen a L78 Nova pull away from all comers with 4 ppl in the car.

yeah if you run a 402, with some headers and a lil richer im sure you can get some mean power and torque numbers out of the ol L78. Got one on a mount from a nova. Just gotta find a 66 chevy II roller or a 70 split bumper roller to build around. Those are my two favorite Chevys.
Much Love & Respect to the both for putting up a Hell of a Show for everybody. Those Burnouts are Definitely Insane!! #TeamChevy 💯👍👏💪🔥

The only difference in this race was the RT. 3/100th of a second! Nice!
Got a 66 with a 454 bored out to a 468 solid roller motor should get the motor back from the machine shop soon I hope its everything I thought it would be with the th400 trans as well
Love that '67 with the steel wheels and no caps! Tough look.
My 67 only had 2 speeds, fast and faster.
Heck of a burnout they had to do.
Both cars I'd take
The tires were warm after a few seconds, the rest was all for show, and both cars could've kept it going all day long.... ...well, until the tires blew out.

the long burnout worked on my car, i tried the normal burnout twice, th e third long burnout gave me the best traction {street tires}
Not surprised at the equal outcome, considering they both had identical engines. I figured the Camaro might have a little bit of an edge in aerodynamics over the boxy Chevelle. Sometimes, it may just be down whose driving?
L-78 A real mover!
The burn outs hurt their
I'm to take my 67 Chevelle out for a drive while listening to my favorite song, David Allan Coe's "If That Ain't Country" Despite any disapproval from my neighbors, I also plan on doing some burnouts and using up about 32,000 miles of rubber. It doesn't bother me that Tesla owners never wave back.
My first Camaro was the 70 1/2 z28... 396 4speed. It was stolen in Mississippi about 15 years back or I'd still have it... I had a 70 plain jane too... 400 small block on nitrous before any NOS... Marvin Miller cheeta system with L60's, gutted for street racing. It didn't get beat much.

Eso no es ni Camaro SS 396 ese solo es un Camaro SS Z28 del 70 el otro si es un Chevelle SS 396 Bro
Close race. Low 13s is still a respectable st car .
That Chevelle was dangerous all the way through the gears , no power steering, no power brakes, all the power you couldn't handle , then some !!
unless there is a reason to get the tires ridiculously hot and sticky anybody can sit there and smoke for half a minute WHY? is that cool?
i think it is the driver that makes the difference. also.
My moms boyfriend has one of those same year chevelles
hahahahahahahahahahaaa
So you can burn some shitty bias ply polyglass tires..My 283 Chevelle can do that!
