thank you for your videos. i don't like reading endless manuals on "how to fly this how to approach that and so on" that much, so watching your videos really is a blessing! Pictures/videos > long texts... thanks!
Your fine videos are always very much appreciated.
Thank You Very much, the smartest explanation and the least complicated landing instruction using the charts of LOWI that I could find on the web
These tutorials are hugely helpful, wonderful that you make the time for them. Many thanks.
Your manual flying is great, and your approaches are perfect. Becuase of you I now know tons more about approaching an airport=)
As others have said a brilliant video even if it is 5 years old. I think the briefing helps enormously for those new to flight simulation. Keep up the good work.
Just want to tell you that I am very grateful for your highly informative videos. Thank you!
Thank you for the vid. More than 4 years old, but it still is up to date. I will perform a visit in an Airbus Simulator in Cologne an will try this in a whole flight. And of course I will train it before at home. Perfect briefing like I figured out before form charts but to get a read back is great. Hope to get more training vids in the future.
Thanks for the comment. For US charts I go to: skyvector . com for anything else I really just google it and see what is out there.
Good Job. It's always fun to make full flights as they are live. Nice commentary notes and explanation details as well. Cheers
Great video! Thanks a lot for taking the time to do that!
awesome approach, very well done. I need to go practice that now, looks very fun to fly
Great job as always!!
Fantastic tutorial. Thanks so much!
Awesome video!
Wow that looks like fun.
Trust me people, FSX404 videos are second to none and always a joy to watch.
Excelent job and landing, keep these vids coming!!
Good job! I am actually going to land there tomorrow in real life for the first time. Just a little suggestion, next time make a teardrop over RTT, then go get that outbound QDR safely. In IMC with your butt on the plane you would never do that maneuver ;) good job anyway! happy landings

unfortunately there were not the minima for landing there, so we didn't even took off, but i had a nice visual approach for runway 01 in Bolzano (LIPB) with the snow all around the mountains! pretty nice view! :D Bye!
Thanks for the nice tutorial man!!
Awesome dude!
This video is quite good! I was on jumpseat once while doing this (take a look at my vids, I recorded it!) with a 737-800. Companies decide where the MDA for this approach is, on 'my' flight it was on final just after the turn (in my vid you hear the 'minimums' callout on final). The captain told me that when you turn towards final, the RA must keep screeming '1000', then you're doing great!
Amazing video !!! Thanks.
b̶e̶g̶i̶n̶n̶e̶r̶'̶s̶ ̶l̶u̶c̶k̶ professionally done GREAT VIDEO
Just EXCELLENT !!
Thanks for the nice comment and input. One thing to be clear about what you said is that the airport has its own minimums, then an airline can set its own minimums at particular airports as long as those minimums are above the what the airport already has. I was recently on a flight on a Turkish Airline where the pilot did not even attempt an approach into Pristina because the weather report was way below the Turkish minimums for Pristina, but at the same time an Austrian plane went on to land
That was a great instruction.
That is a good approach, I wish I had time to make a video on it. The missed procedure uses the 80/260 turn which is one of the first things you learn as a instrument pilot. I'll keep this one on my mind, thanks :)
Another Thx, great stuff.
This is crazy. I'll not fly there until I'm extremely familiar with this approach based on the videos like that ))
Good job !!
Great video, very easy to learn from this animation, I feel like I can land an Airbus in Innsbruck now and crash it but with at least a 25% survival rate. Thanks.
Good Job Dude
excellent video, thx 4 sharing
Great Vd Cat very informative helped alot with my approached
nice video!!!
very good!
Thank you for the very nice comment, I'm glad I could help out a little
Great helpfull vid. thanks a lot
GREAT videos man! Keep them coming please!! sub'd liked, and commented
Depends on what approaches the airport has, if none are available, then you do a visual approach. For visual approaches under IFR conditions, the ATC will put you in a position for a pilot to make a visual landing, if it is under VFR conditions, then you would you VFR approach procedures to get in the pattern and land.
Nice!!
nice vid i like it so much
Well done. Thank you :)
Nice 👍
..xlt. .. somebody know what he is doing :) Really enjoyable Tnx for putting it, looking forward for the next one
nice videos.
Thanks!
Well done , I just wanna know one little confusing thing, I got FSX but the prob is when I get into it I choose A/C and after settting everything I got moved to the cockpit but with no ability to control the FMS and alot of other buttons , any suggestions ??
Fantastic video. Could you please share the stats of the system you use to make these videos? Your frame rates and detail are really impressive, and I'm interested in seeing how my system compares to yours.
good job, very detailed :) didn't understand all the charts and stuff, but whatever :P nice video.
I'd like to see a description of how to land at Chambery/Aix-les-Bains in France (CMF). It looks a little tough because it's deep in the French Alps.
Thanks for the Comment. The landing was harder than usual, but it was only 290-310 fps or so as far as I remember, not hard enough to burst tire. I believe in FS Passengers the copilot will also tell you if you had a hard landing (I believe it is above 350 fps), which in this case the copilot didn't.
Wouldn't mind a tutorial on how you make your videos, like a behind the scenes video, where you show how you edit with what program and how you get the ideas for your approaches :)
Hi GVad,I noticed you approached Rattenberg NDB on a heading of 310 degrees and when you were near the NDB, you opted to turn to intercept the localizer rather than doing the procedure turn at Rattenberg. Had I been flying the approach I would have done a tear drop entry and do the intercept that way. In mountainous terrain especially it is crucial to stay as close to the approach line as possible. As for the "Cheat Sheet" for decent rates, there is a difference between the 3.8 on the plate to the 4.0 degree angle that you selected. Decent rates are very important on any approach, in this case I would have opted to interpolate the table to determine a more appropriate lesser figure. Please! do not take these suggestions as negative criticism as that is not what is meant, only suggestions to help. I have viewed many of your videos and I really enjoyed the St Barth the most. Keep up the good work! Cheers!

Steve Larson good suggestion. I would have done one too. For whatever reason this approach plate doesnt call for one so i didnt want to add to it. Probably cause ATCs just vector the planes anyways.
sir, how did u get those clouds?! rex4 and opus?!
it should come with the PDF package (one of the pages) after you google "LOWI Approach Plate"
I crashed the first time I tried as I didn't even check the approach charts and didn't even get the ILS plus devilish low clouds at 4500 and 3/4th mile visibility. I don't know why I smashed into a mountain during Go around after attempting the circle to land 08 approach. Now I will try your method. Hope it helps me out. P. S I'm 13
Hi FSX404, May I ask where you get your charts? Or where I can get free charts such I can fly the approaches? Love your videos.
me ajudando em 2022, sabe me dizer se o a330 tem autorização para pousar nesse aerodromo?
heyyy nice video, awesome approach! But how did you knew what was your bank angle when you did that turn?
Chill out, PAPI's become unusable the last quarter mile (at which point I was right on), after 1/4 mile you are flying to a spot, not trying to maintain the PAPI's centered. I was aiming for the beginning of the runway.
Thanks for the comment. But I have no idea what I have. My brother built it for me. All I know that about a year ago it was as good as I could get for $600.
THX for the nice tutorial not use too using DME CHARTS when i land at airports always prefer ILS but this airport didnt have 1 so :P
Hi! Nice Vid! I just have one request. Could you do a approach and briefing in to Isafjordour, Iceland (BIIS) runway 08?
@FSX404

That one was on my list, even had it recorded at one point but it was only in a KingAir. Then I never got to do it again in a ATR 42 because I ran out of having any free time, lol. I wish I had more time, but I haven't flown the sim in over a year and a half, probably more.
There it is! I've looking it up all week but that it is here let me watch. Will leave a comment in a sex
We are never as good as we think we are. I have been humbled by a plane I was flying too many times. I'm only as good as my last flight :)
Hi there Where did you get those sounds? My Wilco airbus sounds much different !
hey nice video, but i am very unsure on how to become familiarised with all these procedures for a beginner, I dont even know what DME is or VOR or anything, where is a good place to learn about what all this stuff means? i am not very good at this stuff but i am trying to learn. I can do ils and IFR flying but this stuff is beyond my knowledge but i would really like to learn, thanks!
Hey man, long time no see. Why don't you do a video about EKVG Vagar airport in Faroes Islands? Hope you are doing ok. CYA
Great video. I've been a subscriber for a long time and I'd like to make fsx videos and use charts and everything, and I find the way you do it is the right way. Could you tell me what software you use to make the videos ? especially the part where you draw on the chart.. Thank you

u performed a hard landing and the tire ddn burst\?? u are using FS passengers ryt? it always happens to me! dd u change any seeting if yes can u plz tell me wht dd u chnge so tht the type does not burst on landing hard? AMAZING approcach ! :)
Where can we get the airports charts?
I got a question. What if the Airport has No DME No ILS, how would I line up properly? Nice Video by the way
nice video! is it FSX?
Personally I hand fly anything below 10,000' msl. This is just what some regional pilots have suggested along with my flight instructor.
I guess another valid criticism would be: You forgott to turn on the passenger signs and to arm the spoilers. But these are the only things I could do better than you. Don´t know how many times I overshoot that last turn... ;-) Very great and usefull video. Like all your videos. Thanks for you are doing for us...
Google the ICAO code of the airport and add 'charts'. For example, Google 'KJFK charts' for John F. Kennedy International Airport.
It was meant towards pilots that fly airliners for real into Innsbruck. As a token of high respect.
i am not a fully co pilot i just fly piper and wt9 dynamic and i just put in flight simulator movies becuas (spelling) i haven't record my self flying yet
Honestly, unless its a US approach plate which I get from skyvector . com all I do is google it.
I dont know my specs, LOL, I just fly them, thanks for the comment
None of my videos have a perfect flight, that is because in my 17 years of flying I haven't had a perfect flight. Criticisms are OK, I know every MISTAKE I've made in my flight(s), but when a comment brings to attention a misconception, then I'll correct that misconception; a lot of people watch these videos. PAPI's are the wrong thing to bring up here because PAPI's don't matter after that last 1/4 mile. Here is a valid criticism of this video: "You got too slow on short final"
where and how do you get this scenery. It is freeware or payware

Google Aerosoft Innsbruck Scenery for Flight Simulator, I believe its payware
Hey listen i live in sweden and i spelled wrong it happens some time
Lol as you can see that last comment posted with some help with my iPhone autocorrecting LOL! But anyway nice flying buddy!

I am not quite sure this is FS2004. The box (cover) on top of these comments is for FSX. I still fly FS2004 (as FSX) with many addons, and I have doubts. You might be right though...

Thanks for your clarification. A few hours ago I bought on E__y a used Aerosoft Approach Innsbruck DVD (FS9 and FSX). Some serious fine tuning will be required just so that CDT's and OOM's issues, don' t spoil the sauce too much on FSX. Stable FS9 won't be as critical. No wonder I still enjoy it so much. So long fellow virtual pilot.
could you make a tutorial on landing calculations

LOOK AT THE PAPI LIGHTS YOU WERE TOT LOW ON THE FINAL
what is cheat-cheat?
Why the hell did you bank right just before the runway? You were lined up. Lost too much speed too.
@FSX404

rumco you didnt feel the drift to the right? You always fly it all the way to the touchdown and beyond. I'm still upset at the airspeed loss on this landing. I want to say I its cause I flew an Airbus which I flew very rarely, but I'm PIC and just let it slip this time. It should NEVER happen
I do not have any that flare. Plane crash...
@FSX404
10 жыл бұрын
I had FS Passengers on, which does not allow "indestructibly," plane would have crashed if it was a hard enough landing. The touchdown fps was around 300, hard, but well within the limits of the plane.

Seriously? It has a 2d MCP - the buttons on the MCP aren't even 3d, and look flat. It's a lame plane, and isn't worth the money.

+The Flying Gasmask I have to agree with you. The VC looks much better than the default (but the textures can be redone a bit) and it actually has better gauges than the default. Wilco can do better than Microsoft with an A320.
@liam2303
5 жыл бұрын
Well, the Wilco at least has a FMC/FMGC. The default doesn’t. You can’t do the approach with a default aircraft. If you don’t know, don’t say.
okey i'm just saying it are you a real world pilot
Hard landing
Is that scenery free

No, I believe I bought it from Aerosoft, but this was many years ago. They may have free ones by now
You landed the plane like a stone
Haha they called this a "scenery" back then.
