Nah Raiden would probably breifly remember Darkseid. In the end of MK vs DC, Raiden transported Darkseid to the elder gods where he was judged and sentenced to eternity in the Netherrealm. He said Dark Kahn I guess either cuz he simply recognized him as Dark Kahn, or he was REFERING to the Dark Kahn situation.

@@bizmarkie5084 Indeed. The original MK timeline went from Mk1 to Mk7(armageddon). MK8(MKvsDC) is standalone MK9 starts at the end of MK7 and causes changes to the MK1-3 timeline. MK10 and MK11 are sequels of the MK9 altered timeline.

To those not in the know, there's an awesome little nod to MK9. Darkseid says "your toothless serpents cannot harm me." In MK9, the opening, cutscene has Shao Khan saying something along the lines of, "your toothless worms cannot possibly stop me now."

The Elder Gods are not manifestations of the One Being, they're ethereal nigh omnipotent deities that existed alongside the One Being in the original timeline and power wise second only to the Titans The EG originally created the realms in the older timelines from the One Being's body and power, they shattered it's body then created the realms from it then trapped it's power essence within the Kamidogu's spread throughout the realms. The One Being feeds off of their power but has proven to be weaker than The Elder Gods which would mean by scaling weaker to the Titans as well. The One Being feeds off of the EG's and pretty much everything in the entire MKU when given the chance but has proven weaker than the EG's in the MK canon(older timelines)

Shao Kahn merged the realms without victory in MK tournament and he thought Elder Gods couldnt do anything.....So shao kahn called them Toothless serpents......which was a huge mistake ended with Elder Gods destroying him.....

@LThere is a simple explaination as to why Darkseid got held by those gods: That version of Darkseid is weaker the his comic book counterpart. Or he lost his powers after being split apart from Shao Kahn, and being trapped in another universe. And before you say: It would not make sense or its stupid for Darkseid to lose his powers, simply cause he is in another universe, shit in comic books NEVER make sense, and they always do stupid shit like that.

Darkseid seems to know an awful lot about the MK Universe!

While I am glad that the two referenced Dark Kahn in one of their clashes, part of me wishes that they referenced him in one of the intros. Possibility 1; Raiden: So this is Dark Kahn's other half. Darkseid: It took the combine might of you and Superman to defeat him. Raiden: I won't need Superman's aid to destroy you! Possibility 2; Darkseid: We've met on the battlefield before... Raiden: Much like Dark Kahn, I won't hold back. Darkseid: I won't make the same mistake as that fool.

I'm sure the Voice Actor Strike had something to do with not having more fluent intros with DLC or more personal intros with certain characters. It's a bummer that sometimes they just re-use an Intro that is with someone else but fits because of what is said. I mean off the top of my head how many times does Batman say "Prove It To Me!" in Intro's with other characters?

That third one felt so natural, like they were indeed two Gods who know each other and their natures. Ditto for that first and second clash. A lot of the other ones feel more like stock dialogue pieces togethed as best they could.

That's probably the best gear for Raiden I've ever seen. Does the face mask stay with his top?

@momo xmomox do u understand that DC vs mortal Kombat is non canon so therefore the whole idea of Dark Kahn was just an idea made up by netherrealm's where both universes combined to one another therefore the ruler of DC which would be Darkseid was combined with the ruler of Mortal Kombat which was Shao Kahn. Other than that Shinnok has nothing to do with Darkseid.

DC vs MK is a non canon storyline that's the only reason Shinnok would an advantage over him because netherrealm studios wrote that as apart of the storyline. If it were just Shinnok vs Darkseid with no storyline just power vs power then it would be a different story.

I love how Raiden mentions Dark Kahn to other characters in injustice but not to dark Seid himself

Raidens’ supermove is the best ever!

Raiden and Darkseid in this game have arguably the two best supers let's be real here lol. I also like how Darkseid sees Raiden as more powerful than even Raiden himself realizes. I hate how they nerf Raiden's power levels in MK half the time, I get why but still...annoying as one of the most OP characters in the franchise and my favorite characters in MK lore but Darkseid is also one of the cooler villains in DC lore. Also, I feel like Raiden has some of the best outfits in this game than in some other MK games.

Many Japanese characters are Chinese in origin, so it could be both, though as the other guy said Raiden is Japanese origin. The character also reads "Rai," which is Japanese for Thunder.
