Dr Fate is quite inconsistent with his quotes - sometimes he seems to be a good guy/sometimes a complete madman. It's not how I picture the character tbh (though my only exposure to the character was Justice League/JLUnlimited/YoungJustice animated series. My knowledge about Nelson isn't vast but I feel that NRS depicted him poorly.

He wants to keep order, wether that aligns him with good or bad. Dr Fate is made up of Kent Nelson, and Nabu, a lord of order in the helmet. These two entities are fighting for control and both want order, however Nelson prefers to align with good, whereas Nabu doesn't care about aligning with bad, as long as it keeps order. but because generally villains are chaotic, Dr Fate is usually aligned with good. Overall, both entities want order and peace, but Kent Nelson is wearing the helmet, to stop Nabu getting out of control, like on the story, where Nana didn't want to stop brainiac, as the word needs a dictator like him, however in the injustice prequel comics, Nelson is clearly more in control, as Fate goes against superman for moral and ethical reasons.

Etrigan The Demon really nice explanation. Ive read IGAU prequel comics and what you say is 100% accurate. I have to delve into some Dr. Fate comic books to get a proper understanding of the character. I remember reading an article on DC wiki that Nabu's helmet can take over non magically attuned people. It also said that the situation is vastly different in case of powerful magic users - the helmet only empowers their abilities as they can keep Nabu under control. It seems that in Injustice universe Kent is not able to do that.

Because the game devs couldn't possibly have been any lazier with the dialogues. Just look at the horrendous amounts of recycled quotes.

CidGuerreiro1234 yeah - the problem you're talking about is taken to the next level with DLC characters - it's like nobody in the entire game recognizes Starfire/SZ/Red Hood (which really kills the immersion, the idea that YOU are the character u play - RH has no personalized dialogues with Batman - really!?) MKX was much better in this respect.

madmax2803 the indigo lantuen corps emotion is compassion.

Love DOctor Fate, but they over-did the Ankh's in his design. Seems there was a bit of a limitation in the creative department of this game.
