Iniwan ang pagiging doktor para maging nurse? | Nagulat ako sa comparison niya sa sweldo!

Dr. Brent Amurao left his career as a dermatologist in the Philippines, to move to Canada. In Alberta, he works as nurse. Although he is also working on securing his medical license there, he's very happy with where he is currently at.
In this interview, he tells us his reasons for moving, how life has changed for him and his partner, and why he no longer sees himself returning to the Philippines for good.

Dr. Amurao is very inspiring. He is very honest and yet very humble. Me and my wife can relate living here in California, the advantage of living in a progressive western culture. God bless.

This is very revealing and enlightening especially for people who are still on the contemplating stage. Just be ready and adapt. Life here is very different but could be very rewarding.

Its very possibe that they're doing good, given that both of them are RN's. They're salaries are about $ 150K US per annum. Good job guys. I bet, you will make double if you are in the USA.

This is not new ,A lot of them work as nurses in USA, they are Doctors in the Philippines but .since they can't work right away as Drs in USA because they still have to go some kind of training and I heard the exam is quite hard,so they work as nurses.

Refreshing to see a kabayan who is happy and well on his way to fulfilling his plan in life. Express entry if you can qualify for it is the way to go.

Apply direct to US hospitals, to their websites, or apply to US embassy in your places, US needs of nurses, due to Covid19 before and after, but US nurses job is not easy, your are dealing with different cultures, jealousy, discrimination, you have to have a thick skin to survive in any job outside the Philippines, just sharing a wisdom!! Just make money, invest wisely, save, yearly vacation and don't give money or pautang to nobody,, dahil mahirap maningil, after you help, they will back stab you. Moral lesson, look for yourself first, analyze and have a critical thinking. Good luck, BE humble and stay silent to your goal, be selective in making friends.

Ina, you need to show restraint & resist interrupting your guests. Avoid going deeper into their personal lives as an LGBTQ couple that can get tacky! Keep the Q&A crisp and relatively concise, and within 15 mins; or viewers will lose interest. Viewer from Philly, PA.
