I have 1 and it sounds like that too(all my flippers have sounded like that before break in). After 250-300ish swings it got a little quieter and started opening up. I'm happy with it overall so I bought a 2nd one... but then the 1st one cracked around 450-500 swings.

This bat is a 140.00 for a reason. The sound is like hitting a pvc pipe. I was hoping this would be like the 2013 Aftermath like the graphics. It is NOWHERE close to the 2013.

I agree. And I never want to bad mouth demarini, but this bat sounds terrible. Strangely though, it does perform well if you hit its tiny sweet spot

I’ve been using the Flipper Aftermath for BP for about 4-5 times out. Seems like it’s a tiny sweet spot, and some balls don’t fly the way you’d expect. Could be because I’m used to an endload feel, is the bat a waste of time to break in? Or should I move on?

I can't say what will happen with a lot of swings because I moved on. Definitely better bats out there!

@@DLeagueBP thinking about moving on myself. Is the Hot Butter After Dark just a different paint job? Might switch over to it, quick break in? Recommend a half or full oz to compare to a juggy weighting?

A mix of Evil BP 52+ and Tattoo NX3 Spinners with a few old game balls thrown in

@@DLeagueBP I tried mine last Saturday. It did sound very strange. I was using BP-52s and some other types of balls. How long do you think it will take for this bat to break in?

I honestly have no idea how long it might take, but I doubt that I will ever personally find out. I just don't don't have the time to possibly break it in
