Initial Impressions of Monsta's New King of Diamonds? Does it Live up the Name; A Bat Review

Спорт

Finally received my King of Diamonds, a new Monsta M5 Bat!
My bat is a 24.5 oz, 2 piece bat with a half ounce end load. The bat is available balanced (24 and 25 oz), with a half ounce endload (24.5 and 25 oz) and wiht a full one ounce endload (25 oz).
Fences are 8' tall and 285' all the way around. I'm primarily using a mix of Evil BP 52 Balls and Tattoo NX3 52 Spinners.

How does an Anarchy .5oz end load compare to a Monsta .5oz end load? I've read Monstas can swing heavier but I've never swung an Anarchy end load to compare

Tough one to answer. The most popular Monstas are midloads, not endloads. And in my experience at least, the old M2 tech often scaled in above sticker, perhaps leading to the opinion that monsta swings heavy. The newer M5, at least for me, has come in at, or below, sticker weight and swing as labeled. Anarchy, in my experience, has good weighting. You get what you buy

Anarchy end loads feel heavy. I would compare an Anarchy at 26oz to a Black Sheep 26.5oz, they both have the .5oz end loading, and to be honest, Anarchy 1oz end loads and their .5oz end loads are very close to the same. Worth Kreacher and their. 5oz end load in the 26oz feel like a balanced bat, at least to me and most of my team mates.

1:26 😮 what was that sorcery? I saw there is an exclusive black version of this bat coming out later (25oz. 1oz EL). I have this bat, same specs 24.5oz. The weight is perfect for me. Can generate great bat speed but can still control it well and hit the ball where I want. Hit a dinger on my 2nd swing with this thing. Haven’t even broken it in yet. Favorite bat since my Monsta Mutated DNA.

I have no idea how I summoned that magic, but that bat is absolute 🔥! So very tempted to get a black one!

It's surprisingly good! Was gaming M5 black sheep and a couple of the Pures, but this is all I plan on gaming this fall season (unless the weather gets too cold)

Awesome review! Really interested in this bat. Does it swing heavy like a typical monsta bat? I usually swing a worth krecher 26oz with 0.5 EL. Looking to pick between the king of diamonds 24.5 oz and 25 oz both with 0.5 EL. Any tips or advice on deciding between them?

Thanks! I have the 24.5 with the .5 EL. When I got it, I thought it was way too light, but then I swung it! It didn't take long to get used to at all. It just whips through the zone and is absolute fire!! I really don't think you can go wrong with either, but I imagine the .5 oz EL is probably slightly more noticeable in the 24.5. Doubt you would be disappointed with either!

Currently gaming a 25 sinister which is midload. Picked up the KOD 25 with the .5 end load, but it feels heavy for sure compared to my sinister. I was thinking about exchanging for a 24.5 , but I don’t know if .5 will even make a difference and swing similar, what do you think?

I'm just curious if you have an M2 or M5 sinister? Because I have a M2 sinister and it definitely heavier than my KoD. And you can't go wrong with either bat, so if you like the sinister, keep swinging it!

@@DLeagueBP M2 sinister woody. Maybe I just need to get used to the end load I’ve always been a midload guy (torch / sinister), but I was looking to get some more power because I’m not a big guy which is why I thought the endload would help get more distance and power. Everyone kept saying get a heavier end load bat. Not sure if there would even be a noticeable difference between the 24.5 and 25 they seem so close. I keep hearing this KOD is fire and swings like a lighter end loaded black sheep.

Not sure the .5 ounce will make the difference you are looking for. Both bats are 🔥 swing what is comfortable. Getting stronger > new bat (almost always) when it comes to hitting farther

@@DLeagueBP you’re right, when I pick up both bats the 25 KOD does feel slightly lighter than my 25 M2 sinister even with the .5oz endload on the KOD. Must be the M5 light tech

@DLeagueBP good luck in the game. I would not put too much effort in velo. If you hit it 100 mph to someone, vs placing it in the gaps, I'll take the gaps.

@@joelgonzalez4455 if you hit it 100 mph it'll be much more difficult for them to catch it, and you won't always be hitting it at people. Sure, a ball in the gap is better than a harder ball at someone, but I'd rather have a 100 mph that hits the gap than a slower one lol
