Fascinating. I just started a KZread channel about my slow life as an American living in France a few months ago - just for fun! - but have seen a lot of growth very quickly and am starting to think about the pros and cons and whether it’s worth investing my time and energy long-term. Thank for sharing this!!

Great video Tina, so many pros and cons. You are so right I enjoy watching youtubers who have 'day jobs' kinda cool to get insight into peoples lives. I have no idea what my channel is about. Just stuff that's interesting to me, I guess. I kinda started posting again because quarantine gave me more free time. It's a hobby for sure but I also want to grow in the future.

Hello Tina, thank you so much for your sincere sharing on pros and cons of doing KZread. I feel very inspired! I followed your channel a long time and watched almost all your videos. I enjoyed your content a lot, especially about your condo interior tours. I recently started my own channel mainly about minimalist lifestyle. I completely agree with you that at the initial stage, I literally gained no views and subscribers for doing these videos. I now know I need to be patient and focus on improving my skills and the quality of my videos! Thanks again for this video!

she never mentioned it in her video, but i think the real reason is that she feels ashamed and depressed about the low views she's getting nowadays relative to the 3.6 million subs she has. will definitely take a toll on you if you feel that your audience has become jaded. another downside of a creative life right there.

So true about the creator burned out. I also started my channel for fun but after a few months, I’m starting to feel bored of my own content because it feels kinda repetitive and I don’t always get new ideas did content easily. 😅

Yeah for sure, it's hard to balance what we as creators want vs what the audience want. But I guess the obstacle is the way! 😂

Thank you so much for this video. I'm a small youtuber right now and wow! Having a channel and nurturing it is a big job indeed!!! I'm the opposite though. The longer I wait to make a video the more intimidated I get and miss posting sometimes. So making several in a week or day and spreading them out through the month is great. To stay a month ahead. I've done it a few times but trying to stay consistent with posting weekly. But as I go along my editing skills have gotten sooo much better!!! I love your channel and your content.
