    They're either weighting towards positive results and weeding out the wrong answers by not showing them or simply telling the subjects the answers and it's completely fake. And non-disclosure agreements are standard with all reality shows. It's television. They wouldn't go into the project without ensuring the result. In high school I used to play a game with my friends called "useless superpowers" where you'd take turns coming up with superpowers that had some sort of limitation that made them way less cool. My favorite example: You can summon bears but can't control them. Anyway, I think "you have telekinesis but only on aluminum foil" would have been a strong entry for that game.

    This honestly reminds me of when i thought shifting was a real thing, when its actually just a bunch of teenagers saying random bullshit. I was in a bad place mentally, so the idea of being able to run away to whatever world i thought would be better sounded great on paper. Then of course you learn its a bunch of bullshit after humiliating yourself for about two weeks trying to do it. I was sad that i wasted all of my time doing something just to learn it wouldn't change anything, but it did also teach me a lesson on trying to find better ways of coping. These types of things are either kids just trying to have fun by pretending theyre magic, or teens and adults being assholes to people more vulnerable than them by making them believe in things that ultimately hold no merit.

    Shifting is supposed to be lucid dreaming and/or willing dissociation. Its v odd to me that some ppl who practice it seem to think they're literally astral projecting. Thankfully when i was looking into it, i mostly saw ppl who were fully aware that it's not real, it's just vivid dreams and/or daydreaming/dissociation.

    I mean, you can mentally "shift" to another world. Which is not that far off from the original premise. That's how reading/hearing stories work, a good one can make you feel like you are in that world. And with your own imagination, you can create your own world to "escape" to. The brain is more easy to manipulate than most realize, dangerously so.

    no this is disrespectful and not funny. As a subscriber and someone who has the ability to use telekinesis in their day to day life, I can tell where he went wrong! If you take telekinesis seriously and actually made an attempt to try it instead of trying to get content then it would have worked. Danny mocked our community in this video which is why it won't work for him or you. His intentions were not pure. Yep, I just made a very similar comment. I'm guessing that every single student is afraid of being a 'failure' or an outcast because they think that all the other kids are actually able to do those things, so they end up pushing up that blindfold a tiny bit and cheating. They probably feel a lot of pressure to 'succeed' because all of the adults (including their own parents) are pushing this idea. But what they don't realize is that they AREN'T the only one who can't do it, and all the other kids are thinking and feeling the same way.

    @@Crackpot_Astronaut yeah, exactly!! i read a post online a while ago about a teacher that had made an assignment that was destined to fail (the kids had to try to grow a seed and compare the process to their original hypothesis, but they were given seeds that wouldn't grow), but apparently the ENTIRE class assumed they'd been the only ones to mess up and got a different seed instead of admitting theirs hadn't grown. I'm not a psychologist but i feel like there's a lot to be said about that. (iirc the teacher wanted to fail them all but the principal wouldn't let them, because if all the students fail it's only because the teacher did so first. of course, this is a story on the internet, take it with a pinch of salt)

    @@darkprincette There's a book about this story, an emperor needed to choose a successor so he gave seeds to all the children and gave them a year to make the flower grow, but they all received seeds that couldn't grow and they didn't know it, and in the end just one boy is sincere and takes a vase with the seed planted but without any flowers to the emperor, and he is chosen to be the successor because he was honest about it. Oh my GOD. I nearly worked for a fencing academy affiliated with that Utah program. I got hired on as an admin assistant but before I could even fill out the paperwork on my first day, I was required to watch a video on the owners with this old man who founded this "science". It was incredibly culty and gave serious red flags. When the owners asked me what I thought, I gave my honest opinion that its not founded in science and in my quick google search (it was a 40 minute long video), I couldn't find any backing. They argued back that the scientific community could not replicate his findings because only the old man knew how to do it?? I walked out after that, I didn't want to be affiliated with whatever absurd teachings they were doing behind the scenes.

  • @SilverDragonJay

    @SilverDragonJay

    Жыл бұрын

    it also turns out that its possible to hang a door wrong so that it will sometimes swing open and closed at random times. If its uneven, for example, and it doesn't latch properly, an almost imperceptible gust of wind can be enough for it to open all on its own. Once its done properly, it stops happening. Pressure differentials can also be enough to cause that. I remember countless times growing up when someone would open one door (even an internal one) and it would cause the garage door to slam shut. I think its easy for a lot of people to forget that we live in a medium: air. We aren't always aware of it, we can't always detect the miniscule ways it moves around us, but even in a seemingly still environment its still swirling and moving, we just can't detect it without tools.

    Hi Danny, that "karate" school is actually a pencak silat school from Indonesia. It's called Merpati Putih (meaning white dove) which you can see on the logos in their gym and badges. I immediately recognized it because I used to train in that school in Indonesia lol. I'm actually surprised they have a branch in the USA, but I can confirm that the blindfolded stuff is something they make us do because spirituality is a huge component of pencak silat as a martial art. But usually, it's to train your focus, spatial awareness, and hearing. Merpati Putih primarily focuses on self-defense, not to arbitrarily become psychic 😂😂

Your hands create convection currents which takes the heat from your hands and disperses it under the object as it replaces cold air. This is almost like creating wind in a way but isn't quite the same. Googling convection currents then going to images will help understand. It's not Telekinesis, but instead science which is still cool.
