Wow this takes me back, nice install Eric. From 2010 to 2016 I had a 2006 G35x as a daily, Stillen x-pipe dual line / single exit exhaust and Berk high flow cats. Really fun to throw around on snow, decent fuel economy for a V6... I'm glad to see this in 2022.

What I want to know is if anyone has an X can you install long tube headers on a g35x between 03-06?

Just installed this yesterday and got to say loving this setup paired with my Maxpeedingrods resonated test pipes. deep tone and aggresive when gassing it.

@@ERICSDIYGARAGE they're pretty good so far, they are actually faily good for the price, although I'm getting vhr headers with vhr circuitwerks resonated test pipes and see how much of a difference it makes. I would recommend them for the price but I believe they stopped selling them

Nah it’s not a AWD look at the under side of your car if everything matches up with this G35 in the video you should be fine.

Is the raspy noise at like 3k going down to 2k normal mine makes the same raspy noise but a bit louder im about to get a full open system test pipes aftermarket y pipe and straighth pipe to a 4.5 inch muffler tip

No, you will need an extension to make it fit but even then the bumper is not the same so it will like not fit this is for 2003-2006

I’m looking at getting a 2009 g35 sedan. Will the ISR fit directly? It’s AWD if that matters.

The rear bumper needs modification to fit 2003-2004

Does anybody know if this fits g35x (awd) online it says only g35 sedan rwd but I don’t know why it wouldn’t fit the awd

Hey buddy was looking into buying a g35 sedan. Now preferably wanted to buy a 6 speed but an auto may have to do. In an auto or 6 speed, what should pay attention to as far as problems common on both?

If you get a 6 speed its common for the synchros in the transmission to go out and it makes it difficult to shift into gear without grinding if you want to avoid that try to get a rev up the only downside to that is it the engines have a tendency to grenade and they are more expensive to replace than a DE. Automatic transmissions for these Vehicles normally are okay but there is times that the valve bodies in them fail and sometimes they can't be fixed and need to be replaced which can be expensive. My advice is to find a 2003 to 2004 with a manual transmission that is in good working order I would try to stay away from rev ups due to the cost of the engine if it were to blow up.

I know with regards to the revup 05-06, would 2006 be the be one? Seriously considering a 2006 G35 manual sedan with 160,000 miles.

@9408994041 rev ups aren't known to reliability. Once the engine goes out its very hard to one a replacement and will likely cost around 3k for just the engine
