As another comment stated you could use "Thief+Covet" attack on the luvdiscs however I enjoy getting the little xp to level some newer things up also so it doesnt feel like such a grind fest.

Makes me realize how much I miss having a free move tutor at every Pokémon center in sword and shield..

best way to do it I think is with absol. It can have the ability super luck which has a hidden effect. Basically if absol is lead in your party then wild pokemon are more likely to have their held item when you encounter them. Absol also can learn thief and it becomes a 90 power move because of stab (same type attack bonus) so if the absol is around lvl 50 it'll one shot the luvdisc and you'll get xp plus the heart scale. You can get absol from the stargleam cavern and dazzling cave both of which can be accessed by going underground in celestic town! :) Good luck to anyone needing heart scales

Just thought u deserved a shout. I'm breeding one to make max speed and atk gonna teach it thief. After the 10 heart scales gonna use it to steal items for mons to sell or use in battles. Much love on the info about super luck

My experience: I did it for 40 minutes and got 4 heart scales, pretty good considering I've already taken all the heart scales across the map. It takes a while to get a luvdisc with a heart scale so if you are trying don't give up. Great tutorial, thanks!

Was fishing for an hour and a half and got about 3 heart scales. It took forever to even encounter a luvdisc in the first place. Then I switched to the exact same position you were fishing from in the video and I was suddenly encountering a lot more luvdisc and managed to get 3 more heart scales in about 15 minutes which took me to 10 overall.

@@Shiwonkhan Yeah honestly I think there's something about that exact same spot. Because just like you I was getting luvdic encounters back to back from there. I don't think it was a fluke because I encountered about 10 luvdisc in 15 minutes from that spot compared to like 10 in an hour and a half before

Frisk and Covet or Thief work wonders. The best combo for this is Banette. Not only does Banette have high attack, but it also can run instantly due to being a Ghost type.

If you use a Butterfree with the ability Compound Eyes (ups the chance of wild pokemon holding their item) and the move Thief (steals a wild pokemon's item if you're not holding one), you'll save yourself a lot of time.

Instead of catching the Luvdisc, you can also use a Pokemon with an item stealing move like Thief or Covet. I just fish, use my Glaceon's Covet and then run if the Luvdisc doesn't have a Heart Scale.

You could also can an absolute with super luck and theif. Super luck increases the chance that a Pokémon is holding an item and you can just use theif to steal it instead of being forced to catch it

Using a Super Luck Thief Absol and so far I've encountered 3 Luvdisc in 20-ish minutes, each with a Heart Scale. Either I'm really lucky, or Super Luck is the key. 🤣

Been fishing with super luck absol for 30 mins havent encountered 1

Frisk plus thief, did this in X and Y hopefully there is a pokemon with the frisk ability in BDSP

Banette has Frisk, Thief, high attack, and can run away instantly due to being a Ghost. Dusknoir family can too, but Banette is easier to get and can kill easier.

Compound eyes or super luck Pokemon first slot frisk in the second slot let the compound eyes faint and just keep farming luvdisc and they are pretty consistent I got 12 in 40 minutes

it is a 1-5% spawn at night i believe and higher in the day.

You can't get a Luvdisc until the post-game. Super Rod isn't given until the Fight Area.

this is accurate however most people will use this for post game when they are building post game/competitive teams otherwise the other 2 you get should hold you or a few randoms in the underground.

I havent seen anything that says no however I have had a few people now inform me that when they were using this trick they had terrible luck. Sorry I cant be more definitive for you.

Have a Pokémon with Compound Eyes lead in your party, switch to a Pokémon with Frisk ability, will let you know if the Pokémon has an item, then use trick to switch items with it, run away. Remove item from Pokémon.

I believe you have to complete the game after which you go to the Fisherman in the Battle Zone (get to is from Snowpoint City). I think he asks you a question which I think you answer yes, eitherway just go speak with him and you should be good.

in order to get the super rod yes i believe its in the post game area. However the underground or the ones on the routes you can get as soon as you access those areas.

i got a full odds shiny gyarados before i found a luvdics :/

You take them to the move re-minder guy in Pastoria City, north east house I think, and he can teach your Pokemon new moves they wouldnt otherwise get.

WOW not sure why so negative. I literally did this for an hour and got 5. got 2 almost immediately then hit a dry spell for about 20 minutes then got 1 here and there. I dont have 9 years to spend making videos so when i say an hour trust me thats all i spent. But hey, thanks for being really negative for no reason.
