Soviet soldiers restored ten thousand kilometers of railway tracks, 63 stations, eight depots, 30 kilometers of bridges, Warsaw power plant, 16 thousand poisoned or blown wells, repaired roads, carried potatoes, sunflower oil, Inventory, tea, kerosene, matches. Doctors cured thousands of infectious diseases. Soviet engineers cleared two million mines and bombs. When it was discovered in Moscow in 1956 that Poland had a debt of 2.3 billion rubles, it was written off in support and a new loan of 800 million rubles was issued. Soviet specialists established 151 industrial enterprises in Poland, including a car factory in Warsaw, where Daewoo is now produced. It was equipped by a metallurgical plant in Novaya Guta.
