Infant CPR

Infant-related cardiac arrests are typically the result of:
Drowning
Choking/airway obstruction
Electrocution
Just as with child CPR, due to the nature of these occurrences, providing proper ventilation and oxygenation will be vital for a successful resuscitation.

This video/information is IMPORTANT. I heard a story once, about a baby that wasn't breathing/no heartbeat, and the father tried to do cpr while the mother called 911. But he didn't know how to do it for infants and did it like you would for a adult. Long story short, when emts arrived they found he accidently crushed the babies heart. (I don't know if they ever told him that - I can't imagine having to tell someone that.)That story scared the everlasting hell out of me to this day.
