I just love how heavy it actually is. I think it is one of their more perfect songs... a great balance of f'n heavy and beautiful melody - all backed by a kickass driving drum beat. 🤘😁

this song has some of my favorite song lyrics. "Deep silence between the notes, Deafens me with endless love" Tuomas is such a wonderful writer.

This concert was another milestone for Nightwish, they were the first Finnish band to headline Wembley Arena. In a Wembley Arena annual poll for the best live performance of 2015, they came 2nd to Queen. Superb concert, features songs from the 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful (2015)' album, Nightwish's first studio album with Floor. New songs written specifically with Floor in mind. 'Shudder Before the Beautiful' is the 1st track on the 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' studio album and the concert opener.

This was a great concert - a roller-coaster of joy, happiness and emotions. Floor is by far, the greatest front person, in the world, in this century. Just keep them coming 🤘 🤘

Just like "Dark Chest of Wonders" in their older shows, this is one hell of a show opener. It really slaps you in the face and gets your attention. Yep, this show was at a sold out Wembley arena.

Greatest Show on Earth, live at Tampere. When you get to it I hope you choose Tampere instead of Wembley.

Wembley Arena is an indoor venue taking around 12.000 people for concerts not to be confused with Wembley Stadium that holds over 80k for concerts.

I’m probably late, but I’d love to suggest “Ghost River” (Wacken 2013)! :D It is perfect for your next reaction because: - It’s an awesome Floor-Marko duet - It’s heavy, yet very melodic - The lyrics are very poetic/symbolic, and they’ll challenge you - Floor’s voice is always beautiful, but it will make you shudder (before the beautiful) in this - It’s from the fabled Wacken concert so a fabulous performance - it’s one of my favourite NW songs, and I’d love to hear your take on it… pretty please?! :)

I love this song, a great song to listen to just before you head out for work. Time to go shudder before the beautiful. You know we want more Nightwish not sure if you have listened to "Yours Is an Empty Hope" or "7 Days to the Wolves" at Wembley, both are great. If you watch Yours Is an Empty Hope, pay attention to what Floor is doing during the chorus, too cool.

well in the same vein as this one you might want to try their "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean", or if you want to go to their heaviest you could strap in and try "Master Passion Greed", but on master passion greed there's no live performance and according to Tuomas there never will be, it's got some harsh lyrics in it aimed at Tarja's husband and the breakup thing, but Tuomas said he's not that guy anymore and won't include it in any of their live setlists but I love it, it's my favorite.

I second Goran Elez's comment. As you are someone who can not only appreciate the lyrics that Tuomas has written, you pick up on the compositional complexity of his music. He is a gift to humanity. The man can take a situation, an observation, deep feelings, and write beautiful songs that come from his heart. I've never encountered someone with not only has the ability to write such striking lyrics but can compose a song with so many layers and undertones that it takes multiple listens to really grasp everything the man is doing. He has works written about natural beauty, deep pain that affected him severely, topics that he feels are personally very important to him. I try to make the argument to my family that... Just because he is an atheist doesn't in any way diminish or detract from his genius abilities. (Greatest Show on Earth, Tampere edition for the full special effect tie into the composition. Also, in every song, there is a message within a message sometimes. "Yours is an Empty Hope" features Floor doing guttural growling but also speaks about internet trolling and judgment. Slaying the dreamer was supposedly written in a fit of rage about how people judge and criticize his work without understanding it. Tuomas is absolutely the Metal Mozart. He can write so beautifully and so raw regarding things affecting him. It is the general public who makes it more or less than what he intended,.Never let that stop you from your own exploration.

When a woman sings as a member from Nightwish, then you can sing, that is the highest metal band ever,and if you may sing as the frontwoman from Nightwoman, that says a lot. And Nightwish is a Metal band and not a rockband!! There is a big different, that they sing on rock festivals doesn't mean that Nightwish is a rockband. I read that on other reactions from a other channel. When it is a rockband Floor never sings in a rockband forever, and so much. And in The Netherlands we are very proud that she is from the Netherlands, and that she took Nightwish to The netherlands.

@@thesanfranciscoseahorse473 About 2 years ago, my musical heart was captured by a Japanese rock band called 'Band-Maid' and I adore these ladies by now. I can only recommend giving them a chance if you like rock music. For many, they are considered the best the genre has heard in decades. And don't let the language put you off. I think the music alone speaks for itself. Also, a relatively young group called 'Nemophila' convinces me more and more. However, their music is a bit more on the heavy/metal side. In general, I think that nowadays in the land of the rising sun, much more thought is given to how to give the listener something fresh and interesting to listen to.

Like emmpus playing he doesnt drag out his solos keeps it simple but to the point.

It was, it’s the Arena (12,500 capacity) - not the Stadium (105,000 for concerts capacity).

"They're not just songs". They're compositions.

There's a reason it's called 'symphonic' metal. It's written in classical music formation and not like the popsongs you hear on the radio. That also explains all the layers.

Yes, you absolutely must do The Greatest Show On Earth! That time investment will be well worth it! :) And remember... do the 2015 live show at Tampere.

If you want to try one of their music videos there's Noise. They haven't been able to perform it on tour because of the "Virus". Warning it's intense. And a lot of other music videos available - my favorites... The Sleeping Sun (Tarya) - the rerecorded version for Greatest Hits (the one with knights and Tarya in the Princess Leia dress), Storytime & Scaretale (Anette) - visual chaos, I Wish I Had an Angel (Tarya) - utter simplicity, Bye Bye Beautiful (Anette) - where the band gets a whole new line-up and finally Nemo (Tarya) - because it's my bud's favorite. And, yeah, you gotta do The Greatest Show on Earth - make sure it's the Tampere version - they did something special for the home crowd. Shudder is like the prelude to TGSE. The voice you were hearing is Richard Dawkins writer of The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution and Tuomas inspiration for the album.

You should watch the whole concert except "the greatest show on earth", that you should watch from Tampere 2015. The next song is heavy. Expect Floor growing.

You have done "Bye Bye Beautiful" and "Poet and the Pendulum" from Nightwish. I think you should finish off the Tarja departure trilogy with "Master, Passion, Greed". There is not a live version, because Tuomas has stated he will never play it live. It's also Nightwish's heaviest song, because they were likely venting all their anger after the Tarja situation when it was written. If you want to hear PISSED Nightwish, give it a listen.
