When I first saw this video I was thinking "what the hell!? Bounce house fans?!" But then I got to thinking, I'm a fan of anything that is well made. I appreciate quality. On a day-to-day basis I go out into the world, and I am on a constant look-out for quality, especially tools but other things as well. And although odd, I can even appreciate a well made bounce house fan... Lol. Not because I am interested in bounce house fans, but because I enjoy things of quality. And the more you study things that are quality, the easier it is to recognize it when it comes to spending your own money... Thanks for the review.

I have always been impressed by these things. There is almost no info on them available. People thought I was weird for being interested in them. If I had enough extension cords it would be a hell of a supercharger!

Yes I've always had a thing for fans I have a ton of various high power server computer fans I'm going to do a review on at some point people don't realize exactly how strong some computer fans can be. I learned about alternate uses of these from someone who has a small personal goldmine and uses one for ventilation

Yup, that is a quality unit. The type of motor is known as a TEFC motor- "Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled", which is in contrast to a less expensive ODP (open drip proof - think swimming pool pump motor). Good information, and agree that something like this is much higher quality than a vacuum cleaner or leaf blower which uses a brushed universal motor. The next step up from something like this would be a ring blower, aka regenerative blower, in terms of static pressure at least. Centrifugal blowers can definitely move more air volume/CFM per horsepower compared to a ring blower though.

The ENP2 has an 11½" impeller (not 18). I have one completely apart right now and just measured it. Thanks for the video. I recognized the quality of the unit even prior to watching this video. I stumbled on the video looking for who the OEM on these are.

Thank you for the great review. I have one of the bigger units that supplies pressurized air to sewing table (set up to be like an air hockey table) that i sew my windsurfing sails on (sails float on the air). I'm looking to get on of the smaller units to be used for a fume extractor that requires a lot of pipe and hose - I want it located on the outside of the building so I do not have to listen to it. Thank you again for the great review. Just what I was looking for.

I had one fail to but it turned out that it was the thermal protection fuse in the back of the motor just decided to call it quits. I replaced it and it works fine. You have to pull off the fan and back case of motor and it looks like a small rectangular box zip tied right against the windings. Make sure to use a Multimeter to measure the resistance of the windings to ensure that they're not actually burned out

Why... WHY can't I find these specific centrifugal fans new anywhere other than used eBay type sales?!!!

Yeah, those ones would be pretty good for aerated static pile composting. What model would you recommend for an European that could come close to an ENP?

Could you review some space heaters? I have a cold barn workspace I'm trying to warm up. I don't want to use propane or kerosene if I don't have to. I would prefer electric; something I could turn on and off. So far, anything I've tried has been junk. Barely put out any heat, didn't seem to move any air. There are different types of space heaters, quartz, ceramic, radiant, etc. Which is the best? Thanks!

I have the smaller version and it was working just fine. I was using it to dry a floor and it suddenly shut off after about an hour. I’m trying to figure out what’s going on. I looked at the capacitor and it visually looks fine. I noticed you talked about the temp switch? Where is that located? All I’m seeing is the mains switch and the capacitor. I’m the first one looking into this fan so I know it wasn’t tampered with. Looks new.

The temperature safety fuse is actually zip tied to the Windings on the back of the motor you have to remove the motor fan and back housing and test it with a multi meter

They're pretty reliable a industrial single phase induction motor the only thing that wears out is the Bering so just be listening to see if it's making any kind of roaring sounds of a bad bearing

I like the squirrel cage style fans. They really move a lot of air.

Squirrel cage fans are good for their purpose my issues with them as they don't have a lot of pressure so they can't handle a lot of restriction and the little veins get clogged up pretty quickly

Thanks for this! I am also struggling to find CFM and pressure specs. Could you give me a thumbsuck estimate? My application requires about 300 m3/h at 150Pa.

I really have no idea. I know that these have as much pressure and suction as a vacuum cleaner but with a lot more flow they could potentially be used as dust collectors
