I'm Indonesian but went to PH for my undergrad and masters degree and stayed for almost 7 years. Both countries are amazing. Philippines is more open and free. And I like it because personally people don't really comments or look at you differently. And most of my closest friends are pinay. Indonesia has so many great cuisines and places to travel. If possible I want to go to as many places in Indonesia as possible. Foreigners might only know Bali but they really should go to other places in Indonesia. You'll not regret it for sure!

Javanese is one of big ethnic in indonesia. And every ethnic in indonesia have their own language. And most of indonesian using their ethnic language in daily, Like javanese, sundanese, balinese, batak, and other ethnic. Indonesia has 718 local/ethnic's language. Actually, Bahasa indonesia is second language for us as unity language. Then english and arabic is third language, cz as a muslim they must know about hijaiyah (arabic). If you want to know about javanese, you should visit to jogjakarta, central java or east java. Sorry for my bad english. I'm javanese by the way. I'm Sundanese. Sundanese is my 1st language, then Indonesian, then English, then Javanese (kind of. I went to college in East Java).

I'd been in indonesia a few years ago, they are just like us filipinos, i consider them as brothers! Mabuhay philippines and indonesia!🙂

Indonesians are similar to Filipino. I have worked there and it feels just like home except for the language barrier. Most of Indonesians do not know how to speak English but you will learn your way to communicate with them in time. They are cheerful people as well. I was amazed that most of our Showbiz personalities are well known and well received in Indonesia.

Why most of indonesian don't know how to speak english is because we using our own ethnic language in daily actually. Like javanese, sundanese, balinese, batak, etc. Bahasa indonesia is like second language to us as unity language.

I'm maharlikans known as 🇵🇭 I never forget my friend amir fadhli he is Indonesian when I was working on kuwait. Me and him together in 1 room in accomodation I'm a Christian Catholic and he is Muslim ,, he pray in his bed and I'm pray on my bed too. The most memorable thing is when he go to mosque I go with him ,, praying with him and eating that time is Ramadan I miss my friend amir.

Malaysians not really I think. They only consist of Malay, Chinese and Indians. Indonesians are 1700 ethnicities (62,5%) are Austronesians not Malay) same like Filipino..I think Filipino and Indonesians are closer.

I suggest you try to go to Sumba (watch the video by Lost LeBlanc) it's as beautiful as Bali but not as commercial as Bali so you literally can enjoy the beach by all yourself (and natives horses) without anyone around if you're lucky... Also maybe come to Yogyakarta the place where you can visit one of the 7 wonders of the world that is temple Borobudur and also temple Prambanan
