The Survival Russia Channel is about "The Reality Of Survival". I live on a Homestead in far away Russian wild nature. Here is no room for "TV" Survival.
Only Reality counts here. Survival Russia promotes the philosophy of always carrying equipment and never to be parted from equipment which will affect chances of Survival.
So did the old timers and pioneers of both the East and the West.

That is the style and method of "advertising" I like. Just straight up tell the viewers what is up and what went on with the dealer, and that's it, mutual benefit for everybody, boom. Nothing to add here. Your channel has the highest integrity, Lars - nice to see that KZread is not all f*cked up these days.

Short filter life and small amount to be filtered with that kit, but to compensate it filters "everything". I like that filter kit. I would save it for SHTF, when all those filtering capabilities may be required. Thank you for sharing!

Lars, most personal water filtration systems, you must "pre load" the filters. Meaning that out of the package, you must rinse clean water through the filter before using it. Is it the same with the Russian issue? Also, I believe the mystery fitting is an adaptor for a camelback personal water bladder. Please let us know when you find out what it is for!

Excellent review Lars. When it comes to background trace nuclear contamination in water, i would highly recommend reverse osmosis to help clean the particles from your water. Also supplement your daily diet when operating in a potentially contaminated water supply region with Vitamin D. Cod liver oil, salmon, sardines, tuna, egg yokes, mushrooms and bass are great for this, they help fight the effects of trace nuclear particles in your system. Cheers Moose.

That's an interesting kit. Capability to filter biohazard materials is a big thumbs up, the siphon tube/pump mechanism is pretty smart. Thanks for the video Lars! Getting bitten in the palm is really shitty, agreed 100%. Lots of places on the human body that are really irritating when stung/bit. I've been bitten on the tip of my, ahem, member once at the summer cottage when I was taking a leak by the forest's edge. I must say that night sleeping was a bit of an issue.

Nice system! Lars, have you ever tried out the "Bite away" for dealing with those mosquito bites? It works amazingly well. Its some kind of heat-stick that you put on the bite. It will heat up to 60°C or something for a few seconds and that destroy the toxins and histamine in the bite and it immediately stops itching. Let me know if you can't get it in Russia and I'll send one to you from Germany :) Have been using it for quite a while now.

I'm not exactly certain, but I that that rubber valve that you tried fitting onto the tube and side port is for a gas mask drinking system, mainly because of the center metal part in there looks like the same kind I have on a few gas mask canteens of mine.

Dig a well beside your pond about 10 or more. The soil will filter most of the gnarly bugs for you and it is less stuff to clog your filter. Which really applies to civilian filters, since this Rus Army filter is only for 5 liters as you said.

Nice one Lars. The plastic sounded a little hard or brittle to me, if its only to do 15 liters then I guess that not an issue? How does i remove the radioactiveness? Iodine injection? I have an old PUR water pump filter and it has an iodine portion in its chamber but they only claimed virus control from that, then a .2 micron screen. KATADYN bought and buried that company in the late 90's

This would be an outstanding piece of kit if there was an easy way to find replacement filters and stock them up. If the extra filters only come with a new system though, it isn't worth it. Can spare filters be easily purchased by those outside the Russian Federation?

I agree. I will try and find out if separate filters are available.

Ha ha ha. My wife asked me if this could be used as a breast pump. I said I would ask you. What do you think? Maybe without the filter...lol.

That small piece might be something to connect the filter to a gas mask maybe?

With the throwaway filters it doesn't look so sensible for hiking. Sawyer or the swiss system are going to be lighter and cheaper.

@09:38 Haha, I thought you were going to say "a bag... to pull over your head when the insects get too bad". Edit: PS, if only there was some kind of water carrying device that allows you to carry the water away from the insects.

That extra thingy could be for piggybacking 2 filters at once?

Well that would definitely be a go to water filter if you had a doomsday shelter. At 30 Euros a bit too pricey for me, I will stick with my Sawyer.

I wonder if the filter contains any asbestos? When were they originally manufactured? I know older Russian gas mask canisters contained it. Due to its a great filter material. Prior to knowing what’s known about the stuff. Just makes me wonder if any is used in the drinking water filter. If Russian laws don’t condone the use of it. A small amount may be used in these an other filters from there to the day? Anyone know for certain
