What's wrong with a bar or disco?
The memorial billboard with names and pictures of WW2 veterans - these are not ’’ordinary’’ veterans. These are recipients of HERO OF SOVIET UNION award, just from this village. This award was given to warriors who did something REALLY REALLY insanely brave, often posthumously. The list of ’’ordinary’’ WW2 veterans from the area would probably be thousands of names, if not tens of thousands.

Not in the thousands. The settlement was not that big in the 1940's.

That was not always the case. Several pilots got the award twise. Most of them for flying so and so many sorties. Leonid Beda got for his 144 sorties and 204 sorties. He got 10 awards during the war. The Sovjet was werry easy on the awards during the war. That is why so many veterans have the jacket full of them.

These videos help the world see that regular Russian folks are the same as everyone else. If we all treat each other with understanding and respect, perhaps we can save bullets for when the space aliens land. Or, zombies.

Thanks, Lars, for sharing a bit of your life and that of your family with all of us in Russia, I always enjoy all the different aspect and how things are going where you live. It's pretty obvious the sanctions had more of a detrimental effect on the countries that imposed them in the long run than it has on Russia, of course it doesn't take a genius to figure out that would happen. Hope you and your family continue to do well and stay safe. Thanks for all you do.

Lars, take us into the gun store so we can see what it looks like!
Here in the UK it is pre requisite to go onto study Architecture that the student can show a folder of drawings of construction details visited and of finished constructions visited. So Art is important as much as Engineering to an Architect. Your son will have a wealth of subjects to draw and paint on your homestead alone let alone the wider world. He has as good a solid chance as any other young boy to follow his and his families dreams.
Thanks Lars!

Overlapping all of the boards on the new house leaves a large gap at the bottom that the mice and rats will crawl inside the walls to nest all winter.
@SurvivalRussia

1- You will never be able to keep mice out of any house, you live in the forest and fields of the northern woodlands. 2- This method has been used all over Scandinavia ever since the invention of boards. I'm Danish, so I know. This is called "one on two" facing.
Yes..the Boy is a Future Vincent Van Gogh 😎 !!!
If it wasn't for the language, you never know the difference where you were over here. We hear a lot of stories but I don't listen to him. Just a lot of propaganda and fear-mongering going on over here in Canada and the US but I guess that's the same everywhere you got your fearless companion with you. That's all that counts. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦

The Boss Rocks!
Pre drilling the holes for the screws, not nailing. If you know, you know.
You could show us some of the construction skills. Why use a certain kind of tool over another, or how you decided which size and material and shape of screws to use depending on the result you want. How to drill a hole properly, something like that. That would be awesome!

Nice video Lars. I agree, personal freedom trumps anything the West currently has to offer. I spent 5 years working in the Komi Republic and you can’t find better friends than the ones I made in Russia.
Nice work! Luv the boss!
I’ve still got my first drafting table and pens etc from when I studied architecture back in the 90’s, it was just as autoCAD was being taught so I had to learn both but drafting became obsolete pretty much within 10 years and I very rarely drafted plans.

My favourite Russian property developer. 😁. I think, You and Russia are a good match. You have the skills and capabilities, to use it's freedoms. For me, it wouldn't be the same though. As i get by with a minimal pension, and without a car. And while i thoroughly enjoy your "Suffering" (Adventures, right?) in the cold, I wonder what this summer will bring. 😉 You make it enjoyable to watch, and informative too. May you and your family be/stay happy, in peace, and healthy. That's what we all wish for ourselves, and i wish you the same. Now the only thing that really makes me sad/angry/nervous is, that our Governments cannot figure out, how to work on that basis with each other too. But i guess that happens, when really big MIC-prophets smell money in a business. Common sense goes out the window. Anyway, get something done, do something, and you know it will be AWESOME.

I think you'd be surprised how many views you'd get doing either a time-lapse of your building or a series of construction videos of this house build. Darn I'd even ''''''''''buy you a beer''''''', for a 10 min or longer house building, no jumping around, video.
I'm glad your son is learning art, I think a true warrior must have an appreciation for (and some skill in) a traditional artistic talent.
Just give your son a sheet of cardboard and painting supplies and play him a William Alexander video and get ready to be SHOCKED in one try.
