Indigenous Wisdom From Arctic Siberia: Animal Spirits, Shamanism & Healing Music | Snow Raven

Indigenous Arctic Siberian woman, Snow Raven, delves into the rich tapestry of her heritage, sharing the ancient traditions and practices of her people. From mystical shamanism, to mimicking birds and animal sounds to go into trance - Snow Raven reveals the wisdom of her people, and how it can change the world.
She recounts her childhood in Arctic Siberia, where it reaches -96 degrees in the winter, and 100 degrees in the summer. She reflects on how surrendering to a harsh environment and the natural cycles of life, has helped her people to live in harmony with the Earth.
Snow Raven offers invaluable perspectives on the merging the wisdom of indigenous traditions and the Western world, reminding us that we are all indigenous to Mother Earth.

___________
SNOW RAVEN - SUOR was born in one of the most remote and cold inhabited places in the world - the Republic of Sakha - Yakutia (arctic Siberia). She was three years old when she started to learn the language of birds and animals. Her voice takes its breath from traditional Sakha culture and is truly an instrument. She is the OG of “arctic beatbox” - the reindeer breath and the founder of OLOX, the NEOshamanic Portal to a Decentralized Humanity, Earth and Consciousness.

Individuals should not be in charge .😉 What if no one "ran" the world? Not dismissing the lesson she brings. Just bringing an awareness to the current dysfunction in the way we assume we need a system. Or this thing we have always been a part of. Taking time to process how it impacts our perspective. Even though the words we choose.

while the British succeeded in Africa, Australia and Americas, they failed in Ireland and China/India... the Brits were envious of the intellectually superior Asians and despised the simplicity and mysticism of Irish life, so they colonized Ireland and India, and suppressed China... all of it was a massive failure at the end of the day, and today you have 3 great cultures that have persevered and stronger than ever

I was in Yakutia in 1991 and 92. I rode on Reindeer Sleds with the indigenous people who wanted to show me a mountain stream filled with gold. I experienced many Shamanic rituals and paranormal events. I saw Dire Wolves, Thunder birds and giant black bears. Truly this is a Primeval untouched part of the Earth that flows outside of the normal time flow. Snow Ravine is an amazing performer and ambassador of Siberia, the Sleeping Land. It is important these dream time areas of the living Earth remain untouched by modern society.

Now i understand why I meow to my little sweet cat and she meows to me, and we love to have little conversations. She has taught me so faithfully for the last year, how to release my fears and trust her, so that she could develop trust and confidence in her own fullest self. It has been such an important and unexpected part of my healing journey. I watch her learn and know every single fiber of her body and have mastery over her agility, intuition, and peace. She needs NO ONE, CHOOSES who she WANTS to love, and spends her days in awe and wonder at the world she gets to explore in this lifetime while also clearly cherishing the special connections she was blessed with. She visits the neighors, to say hello when she hears the door open. But she is not wide open and vulnerable to them as she is me, she is there to sprinkle her perfect love on them, and it lights them up. I don't question her when she tells me she needs to go outside, and when I come home from work and call out that I miss her, she shows up within minutes for, at least, a little rub and hello. I have been humbled and grateful for her and Raven helped me understand more of the ancient wisdom behind this experience.

And such a great metaphore or analogy for every relationship in our lives, starting first and foremost with the relationship with our own body and mind. The toughest one for me personally by far! Before my birth I had a older brother who died from SIDS. I think my parents were determined to have me especially after that loss. So they gave me this name, and it's truly molded me. Thank you for presenting this video. This woman and her knowledge speak volumes. My mother seemed both ashamed and proud of her Cherokee heritage. I have embraced my Cherokee side, but so much knowledge of the Cherokee spirituality and way of life has been forgotten or destroyed. So as a member of the Cherokee tribe and also as someone that comes from European heritage, I love hearing about indigenous knowledge of the world and about indigenous spirituality. I was fortunate to grow up on a farm. As a small boy I had a pet Crow that I loved dearly. As a teenager, I had a pet Raccoon. I realize somehow I have experienced some of the things this woman has been talking about in regards to imitating Critters, and connecting with ancestors that have passed. I got to howl with the coyotes. I saw the Cranes on the pond and experienced their majesty. I imitated the Red Tailed hawks and their whistle. And even today in my 70s, I have hooted with the Hoot owls. Seek and you shall find.

She's so right about silence. I live in the woods, and winter is really quiet. My favorite way to meditate in the winter is to shut off all power in my house and sit in my room in complete silence and absolute darkness, with none of the constant electronic energy that we're always surrounded by. Sort of a poor man's sensory deprivation chamber. It's one of the hardest meditations I know of, but its an amazing one. Silence says a LOT.

I have a big space in my heart for the wise indigenous peoples of our precious Earth. I grew up in Hawai'i and I feel a close connection with native Hawaiian culture and ways and especially Hawaiian spirituality... Ho'oponopono works wonders! Kanaka maoli are native born Hawaiians. I was and still am Hawaiian at heart.

@@GraceNow I think that's beautiful how much you have an awareness of and a connection with the natural world around you. But also I know how lonely it can feel in this world. I had times in my life when I felt like a special tree or the mice on my balcony are my best friends. Or someone in the spirit world who I could not even really identify. For a long time I was not even aware of how afraid I was that just being myself would put me in an institution. How much effort to not stand out too much.. I think I was very lucky to then have a time in my life when I had a coach and one other friend to help me get more connected with the worlds beyond the material. After that time all the loneliness felt different.. not as desperate. And I started to learn to be more aware mainly through making art and also sometimes poetry. It is there that I feel free to express and explore. And also nowadays I always explore the boundaries of what is behaviour and what are topics that might be a stretch for other people but would not really freak anyone out. I tried humming some sounds on my walk home from work when no one was too close 😄👣🎶🐝🎶🦌🐗🐿 I think there's a lot to learn even without lots of finances. There's so much to explore just here on youtube. But I think the most important thing is to go explore and try to make peace in our own inner worlds.

Shamans aka healers. This is ancient knowledge of ancestors understood by tribes and indigenous people throughout the world because they lived fully with nature, of course they resonate with the earth and higher being in the universe. Resonance means the soul and body meets the frequency of things arounds us feel it, sense it and even touch it and mingle with it and the sound makes it more efficient. The most important in that process is to be open, honest and fully observative and it is fully automated while you trust it and the person becomes peaceful at the end.
