Indiens Regierung setzt viel daran, um das bevölkerungsreichste Land der Erde auch wirtschaftlich und politisch in einen Riesen zu verwandeln.
Seit 10 Jahren regieren Premier Narendra Modi und seine hinduistische BJP Indien. Und momentan sieht alles danach aus, dass das auch nach dem Ende der sechswöchigen Parlamentswahlen so bleibt.

Ich bin in Deutschland geboren, zur Schule gegangen und arbeite hier seit mehreren Jahren neben meinem Studium. Als jemand mit indischen Wurzeln (Eltern sind in Indien geboren) muss ich wirklich zugeben, wie schlecht die deutsche Berichtserstattung über Indien ist. Nicht nur dieses Jahr, sondern im allgemeinen. Wir deutschen müssen aufwachen und Indien als angehende Weltmacht anerkennen sowie respektieren!

Weißt du viele angehende Akademiker in Indien ohne anständigen Job verzweifelt sind. Manchmal muss man eben ein Problem zugeben, damit eine Lösung gefunden wird. 9 von 10 Inder wären bereit nach Westen auszuwandern, genauso wie du und ich.

Although I don't understand German, but it's interesting to see that DW has more coverage on India, than on Germany, while the German economy is a mess, China is kicking Germans butt, public transport is regularly on strike, and the immigrants are creating havoc on the streets of Germany. Better look inwards DW And please give up on this sense of entitlement of interfering in the domestic matters of developing countries.

Western journalists see Indian through Western lenses. Naturally governance and sustainability standards are not like the West. 7:13 India is a huge country with lot of diversity and it's own problems such as poverty, poor infrastructure, lack of jobs etc. But India is coming up as a global power. It has its own history and heritage. It has never attacked any country in its long history due to its Hindu heritage and traditions. There is nothing wrong in tryjng to protect its Hindu heritage. The country is facing problems from powers like China etc. Western powers who did so much for China should also help India to come up. India always thinks of global good unlike other countries who dream of dominating the world.

Was a very balanced discussion - the participants had very varied perspectives (though the former ambassador seems to have imbibed a lot of the current regimes 'coolade'. Overall there was a good assessment from various perspectives and dimensions - there was a good deal of realism in the assessment. Economically attractive - watch out for many other issues. To take just one issue - a need for a 10% growth rate by the end of the decade to address the humongous underemployment issue to cite just one.

Wie naiv kann man sein? Wenn China und Russland von "multipolare Weltordnung" sprechen, meinen die ganze sicher keine "faire Weltordnung". Die meinen, dass sie die Weltordnung nach ihren Maßstäben kontrollieren wollen und wie fair werden die wohl gegenüber Anderen sein, wenn die nichtmal dem eigenen Volk "faire" Partizipation ermöglichen? If the commentators here are representative for India, then the future of India is not too bright. Investments will drop as nobody will invest in an unstable society. And a society where the rule of law is less important than ethnicity, corruption or nepotism is not stable - this has always backfired. Es war eine Debatte mit unterschiedlichen Standpunkten und Sichtweisen. Was genau haben Sie inhaltlich zu beanstanden? Gibt es in "asiatischen" Ländern ausschließlich inländische Berichte und Debatten? Wird wirklich nicht einmal über die Landesgrenze geschaut was da passiert und dann darüber diskutiert? Selbst in Nordkorea gibt es Medienberichte über das Ausland aus ;)

Please put an end too much politics of each states in India , in kerala the world throws out communism also you can see here in some states & caste politics also too much highly seen every where! No one sees india as a one citizen ship by equal voting right!Because of the minorities were getting more government favours by reservations they were strong as 💪 vote bank politics play crucial role in the different religious supremacy of all muslims, christians & all several backward minority denominations in every states in india! So all political parties & politicians loots the money of public & nothing happen even in the upgrade of educational system compared with other Europe or UK nations standards !Now only super rich people could only afford higher education by going abroad to purse higher studies! 60 % of the people are below economically weak can't afford higher education beacuse of difficulty to bear the cost of living of other developed countries in Europe!

Arm - reich Stadt-Land Trockenheit-Monsun moderne Dienstleister - rückständige Landwirtschaft Bildungselite - Kastenwesen - Es gibt keine schnellen, billigen Lösungen - es wird ein langer, harter Weg!

Bitte nehmt zur Kenntnis, dass die meisten indischen Städte seit mehreren Jahren zu ihren tatsächlichen Namen wieder zurückgekehrt sind. Kalkutta → Kolkata Bombay → Mumbai Madras → Chennai Bangalore → Bengaluru etc.

Warum müssen wir uns merken wie Städte im Ausland heißen, wenn absolut niemand Bock darauf hat unsere Städte Deutsch auszusprechen? Zudem zwingen auch Italiener uns nicht Mailand Milano zu nennen. Das ist einfach unnötig.
