    I live near the Erasmus Medical hospital. I see these transports frequently. This transport was within The Hague, but often patients are transported from The Hague to Rotterdam, regardless if it's during rush hour. In that case local police officers will block all roads at each crossing, minutes in advance. Hundreds of cars, cyclists and pedestrians are stopped and wait till the special transport has passed. It's a highly coordinated procedure, with dedicated, specially trained officers. I always get goosebumps I see them in action. It's done whenever needed so it's not only for rich- or important people. Greetings from Rotterdam 🇳🇱

    Yes, also for ordinary people in a life-threatening situation. Sometimes, in a very very serious life-threatening situation also with a helicopter. They can sometimes just land in your backyard. A few months ago 2 of those has landed nearby our house in the polder. Can say it’s beyond spectacular!

    the helicopter can only transport people who don't need constant treatment whilest on route because there's no room to do so. if the patient needs continues work they'll be transported by ambulance. sometimes the surgon thats part of the helicopter crew will travel with the patient in the ambulance, because he has more expertise on certain medicine and can do things like amputations in the field, if it's nessecary...

    You don't have to go far to find cows on the roads though. I went on a long weekend holiday to nothern France (Just over the belgian border, in the ardennes) and we did see cows on small roads there in between farms.

    10:02 what they keep saying is: "Left for left" or "right for right" or "straight for straight" in Dutch. This is communications to the ambulance and collegues that they take the left lane at the intersection to turn left. Or the right lane to turn right. Sometimes they say "left for straight". Meaning they use the left lane to go straight, since its empty of cars. The escort are for people in life threatening situations that need to go to a specialized hospital far away. They passed another hospital but they need a different one for what ever this person has.

    its not for e special person. its just a regular person that was on the streets but because its 2 ambulances probably they do the escord also depends on the severity of the injury. normally a ride in the ambulance kost 3500 euro to the hospital but because of mandatory health care that ranges from 100 euro per month to 200 euro per month, it is free. i have to say health insurance can be expensive depends on what you want but the health system is very good here.

    the police escort is to ensure that the ride runs smoothly for the patients, so without braking and accelerating. These types of trips are usually from hospital to hospital, if one hospital cannot treat the patient well (enough). The ambulances usually drive independently without guidance and then the motorists in the Netherlands also move aside

    Little context for the questions asked. Is this a special person/celb, No. In Netherlands that kinda doesn't make a difference. Is this a special ambulance, No. This is the normal first responder ambulance in Netherlands. The reason for two, 9/10 means it's a cardio issue. The second bus is for if the first gets a technical issue and the second medic can assist in the first ambulance. Is this a special police officier/bike, Yes. They are officiers of "team verkeer haaglanden" Team traffic Haaglanden (police region in Netherlands) and this part of the team is specialised in providing escorts for medical and VIPS (VTB).

    The fact that there are two ambulances tells us that this was a heartattack victim being transported in which case we always send two ambulances. You can also check out video's of transports without escorts and you will see that the escort is only there as an extra measure of safety. The ambulance without the escort will evoke the same response from Dutch drivers. The only difference is that when they see no police escorting they make their own plan to safely get, and stay out of the ambulances path. Iguess we all realise that if we were in that ambulance, we'd like to get there fast too.

  • @lordgandalf22
    @lordgandalf22Ай бұрын

    They have two motors in front they leap frog so one stops the traffic at a crossing and then you see the other bike drive past him and then after that he passes the officer. keep problem spaces free and then before the ambulance they have a bike officer with a commander role he talks with the ambulance and tells his colleages what they are gonna do and all. The accident you saw was another on that's why the officer stopped at the car he told those officers to go there. And this happen mostly for ordinary people that need a transport but they might need to work on the patient or they get worse when they get a lot of bumps. they try to ride constant.

  • @MrLittle3vil
    @MrLittle3vilАй бұрын

    This is for everybody that needs it. It's not for special people only. But this are not the standard ambulance rides. This escort has normally somewhere around 4 to 5 motorcycles. One stays right in front of the ambulance, one behind and two that leapfrog eachother to stop traffic at the upcoming intersection. Linksaf linksaf means turn left turn left. And in this case turn left via the left turn lane. This is so the ambulance knows that a certain lane is free to continue their journey. They could for instance use the right turn lane to turn left if that lane is free and the others are not.

    This is done in cases where it's necessary to move a patient/organ or less usually a very specific and rare medications/antidotes that have to be kept in very specific conditions. Also, i don't think the emergency was the one on 2:34, i believe that was another emergency and the police on 3:00 that our motorciclist points to 👈 was directing them to the other emergency.

    I have not seen this often usually ambulance runs without police but sometimes they do this yet. But not for politicians or celebrities. I work in the hospital and factory workers and famous people are treated in the same public hospitals, which are good. They are a bit similar to the new hospitals India has like in Rishikesh area (AIIIMS) but 1) less crowded 2) wards are open to patients also with low incomes unlike India where basic care is more or less affordable for low incomes but the wards are (too) expensive for low incomes. At least that is what I know from my country (Netherlands) and my visits to the AIIMS hospital in India last year.

    9 out of 10 times with these runs they're moving someone for organ transplant. And that could very well be the case here. Don't be misled by the person on the ground in the street. He was not the subject here and they had no time for him either; that's why they sent a colleague to check up.

  • @Dutch3DMaster

    @Dutch3DMaster

    Ай бұрын

    In a lot of cases it is either the specialised help in question being present in a particular hospital, or the specialist of the patient being transported happens to be present in the hospital they are rushing to. In the case of organ transplants, the patient receives a call that there might be a donor found and that they need to report to the hospital as soon as possible to be prepped for the transplant arriving. The only transport happening under lights and sirens is the actual organ or organs, not the patient.
