I was born in India but shifted to Lagos at 3... I grew up there and absolutely loved it. Nigerians were kind enough to let me feel at home. They are helpful and very hospitable. Like India, Nigeria has a rich culture, close bonding among families and amazing food and never ending go slow hahaha! I lived there for over 15 years and then moved out for uni. My parents are still there and trust me on this no Indian would wish to leave Nigeria. I'll always cherish and respect what Nigeria and Nigerians have given me.

India has a big community in Nigeria. They have taken over a whole area in Lagos called ILUPEJU. They dominated the entire ILUPEJU INDUSTRIAL ESTATE. Indians are into everything in Nigeria. They have schools, banks, manufacturing companies, trading outfits and all sorts of businesses. Even though some considered Indians as exploiters I.e. they use you well but pay a little. To me, that is a generalised statement. One thing I know is that Indians smell opportunity a lot and they utilised it. Many Nigerians learnt from them and eventually set up companies to compete with them. If you are looking for a job and quote an Indian company in your resume, definitely you will be called for an interview. They believe you have been trained well enough in an Indian company. In University, I have them as my classmates. They are virtually in all our universities, especially the ones in South West. Indians and Nigerians have become a big family. I remember my late Dad when he was working with the University of Ibadan Health Center, there was this Indian Doctor called Dr Jayakumar. He encouraged me to study Medicine like him. He took me to a minor operation theatre to watch him perform and thereby inspire me. Because of him, I chose MEDICINE & SURGERY for my University Exam. But today, I ended up doing something else. I know another Indian woman called Dr Adeloye who married a Nigerian. A very good woman. In summary, there is no Indian that will talk badly about Nigeria. This year, I saw a KZread Video about Indian most populous city (The name just escaped my mind now), the place looks exactly like Lagos, with holdups and honking of horns. I said to myself, no wonder Indians feel safe about Nigeria. The two countries hustle a lot. God bless India 🇮🇳 God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬

I was groomed to be a teacher by an Indian, Late Prof. Qamar Majeed. He was the only person who gave me an opportunity to become a teacher at a very young age. At 17, without experience and freshly out of college, I was picked over a large pool of professionally trained, certified and experienced candidates who applied for the same role. He (Prof. Q. Majeed) gave me the opportunity to learn, grow and become the very cornerstone of every organization I have served for almost a decade now. I love Indians so much.

One thing about Nigerians is we welcome foreigners and you'd rarely hear about us hating on them. As long as they're respectful of our culture and dont treat us shitty you can do all you want. We'd even protect you first in times of crisis. Just be good and treat us with respect that's all. For those who say these foreigners come here to make money and wonder why we can't do what they have done, its because we mostly do not have access to huge fundings to set up factories. An example in this documentary is the garri factory. Indians do not process cassava this way, this method is peculiar to west Africa. They came here, met people with the skill, learnt it and had the funding to build a factory to improve on it. They could not have done it without us. It provides job for rural people and everyone is respected and happy.

The government is so corrupt, everything that has to do with government is the challenge everyone is taking about in Nigeria..From infrastructures to policies etc.The day Nigeria will have good leaders/government that's the day Nigeria will transform. They bring prosperity and knowledge whenever they migrate from their motherland to a foreign nation. Please guys show some courtesy towards them, most of us just misunderstand them. You are not far from telling the truth. Most Nigerians that goes to India are either middle class hustlers, trying to erk out a living in Indian society and not estabishing or investing in a business, whilst the high class Nigerians are either families of the diplomatic communities (like my family in the early 1980's), who only get to stay like 4 years maximum and get posted back home or to another country. But most Indians come to Nigeria, either as investors or on large scale businesses and they come with their families or communities and ensure that they keep their business within their tight circle and employ local people...That naturally would bring about respect for them.

For the most part, they come, do their business quietly, don't disrespect our culture and values and associate respectfully. So most Nigerians don't have an issue with them really (and often have an Indian or Lebanese friend in secondary schools, at least in the big cities). They also tend to have their Nigerian "godfathers" who pave path for them so they don't have financing or political issues (e.g., Chagoury), although the Chellarmas are an exception as they've been around since before Nigeria was even Nigeria.

Why in the 21st century are we needing Indian, Lebanese, Chinese, or Europeans for what should be the basics in this time period. I love my people but it’s frustrating to see that we can’t stand on our own to feet. Having foreign business relationships isn’t bad but when it a requirement in order for your society to progress…that isn’t acceptable, it’s sad.

Indian will take everything away from Africans. They are a greedy people - look at the UK and the States and Trinidad in the Caribbean. Africans watch your back with them people - they are greedy and only interested in their own race.
