Didn't look good. Alonso needed to turn hard right at release, but it seems the guy that was releasing him was standing too far forward, and prevented him from exiting as quickly as he could have.

It's standard practice to toss the guns. just bad luck.

Jon Donnelly That's what they always do after putting on the ride side tires. They throw the gun to someone who pulls it in. Prevents the driver from running over the hose. Which .....is a penalty.

Mabye they should consider battery powered guns with no hose. There seems so many ways that throwing the gun a few feet onto concrete could go wrong but I guess they probably have a ton of spare guns. Just seems inelegant.

F1's solution is to have overhead hoses, which they do at well every event on the calender!

Am I the only one who things the steering wheel is not straight? When the car is going straight, Alonso has to point the steering wheel to a bit right...
