You, Luke Thayer, were Amazing; you killed!😊👍 All of my cousins, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles on my Dad's side haved lived in Muncie since the mid-1950's, and those who are still with us still live there. And while my immediate family being Jehovah's Witnesses, were the lone religious oddity of our clan, I can certainly relate & laugh at the accuracy of your experiences growing up Christian!😄 (Hey, at least You got to celebrate Birthdays & the other holidays, lol!😉😄) I'm adding you to my list of great newer comedians to watch; right along with Zoltan Koskas, Dustin Nickerson & others!

Well, how long ago did you live there?😉 All of my Dad's family have lived in Muncie since the 50's, all still there. My Dad got laid off from Delco Battery in '59 so my family moved to Calif at that point. We visited most summers.. but my point is that I haven't been back to Muncie since '80, and no, I never heard anyone mentioning Hoosier twang, lol; but it doesn't mean it hasn't become a thing in the past 40 yrs.😉

@robinmcintyre3472 Muncie is up towards the north of the state. Look, this isn't hard: Indiana stretches from the Ohio (Kentucky) to Lake Michigan (damn near Canada). There will be southern and northern dialects throughout the state. People don't magically all speak the same just because they live within the borders of the same state. (Cf. Missouri, Illinois, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, etc. They all have an array of different dialects.) Go visit the boonies in Southern Indiana and report back.

Have absolutely personally referred to the Hoosier twang as a native Hoosier because I come from a city but we're closely surrounded by the boonies and we have at least 3 accents that switch up based on conversation and intensity but I'm also 28 and still live here sooo maybe a different experience

@robinmcintyre3472 I still live here. Grew up in the South Bend area and I live in Indy now. And yea sure there's a lot of wannabe cowboys but what I've noticed is that everyone's accent changes throughout the day even without drinking. It's Midwestern professional at work, Midwestern casual everywhere else and maybe a little "country" in the backyard given the circumstances but there is absolutely no unique accent to Indiana. Besides the Indiana Amish vs the Pennsylvania Dutch hahahahaha

Harvest party was something I grew up with on the West Coast, but at least it was better than Luke's. All the carnival-style games like Plinko and Pop the Balloon. If anything, you get more candy than what you'd get going door-to-door, parents don't have to worry about strangers being weird with the children, so the kids enjoyed it walking around solo while the adults gossiped with each other.
