I am crying about what’s happening to her but in time she will figure out what to do to change and get tougher and better strategy not to get caught in defense traps and make a difference! I played 11 years and I know what she should do! Those baseline shots are rarely challenged and can be a great thing to do! In HS I destroyed teams with those! She can’t drive to basket as those Godzillas are going to hurt her bad! Bravery won’t cut that league of Godzilla manly humans! Other games have been good viewing so I am here for the season!

That said, I would wish these interviews get limited to within a 5-minute timeframe to prevent CC from having to keep answering the same questions over and over again. 14.5pts PPG avg, 4.5 assist avg, so far. NOT BAD AT ALL. That's well above league avg PPG. Against two of the very best defensive teams to boot. PPG avg. for any WNBA player in their career is just above 20pts. She's going to improve and start putting up big numbers once she adjusts. You need to deal with adversity like this to get better and she's dealing with it now.

Finally after 7 seasons of being a pro, arguably the GOAT finally won a championship....and followed up by winning 5 more championships over the next 7 years. About myself, I played basketball from the age of 13 until my mid 40s. I coached boys and girls youth basketball teams and coached a men's team. Facts - 1. CC is Indiana's best player! 2. The team as a whole, including the coach, is not that good. Caitlin has to go through a learning and improvement stage but she is not the only one. What happens to Indiana during the remainder of this season depends primarily on the coach. 1. Think about what you say to the press if you want to keep the player's morale up. 2. The Bigs on the team need more individual guidance on ball handling, faking moves around the basket, more conditioning and Boxing Out which goes for all players. 3. Build the offense around Caitlin!

  • @billmccaffrey1977

Caitlin's fan base is putting her on a pedestal that is way to high. The Fever is not a strong team, which let's the defenses focus on her. The WNBA is reacting to her fan base and the media far more than actions/remarks from Caitlin. I feel bad for Caitlin, because she has to try and live up to this fictional super player the fans and media portray her as. The fans are calling for the coaches head as if that is the whole problem. Reality can suck at times. If the Fever had another player that was threatening on offense, then Caitlin would get more looks. Right now she is being swarmed on every possession, which makes the adjustment to the pro-level of play so much harder. It would have been better if the schedule would have been front loaded with weaker teams. I hope that someone helps Caitlin take a deep breath so she can ride out this storm and that the league understands that the super-player image coming from the fans and media is not what's coming from Caitlin - give her a break.

It's extremely disappointing to hear the indiana fever coach speaks of Catlin Clark game and her performance, the FACT is very clear , the coach inability to create a game plan and build around Catlin Clark skills and talent, has been on a global stage , when all the coach does in these post-game interviews is belittle, rebuke, blame , and pull down Catlin Clark talent and character, is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable. Indiana fever Owner and Management seriously needs to address this coach and her actions , they should hire Iowa former coach Lisa Bulder , who had demonstrated, how to harness and create a championship team built around Catlin Clark talent and skills , and thats how a real coach carries herself...

She will be fine along with the whole team. They are vary young most 1 to 4 year players most haven't even hit there stride in the league yet. Caitlin just needs to continue to be aggressive and get shots up. She hasn't been hitting shots she normally does, just continue shooting and they will start going in she only needs to make 2 to 3 more shots per game to be at the field goal percentage she wants to be at. She did a good job of limiting turnovers and did not have a bad game with 9 points 7 rebounds and 6 assist. Get a couple more shots to fall and that is a great game. The next couple games are just as tough with playing some of the best teams in the league. All you can hope is the team learns from these games and uses them to be better later in the season. The team and Caitlin will click at some point wether it's a couple games from now or next year and when they do watch out they are going to take the league by storm. The team has so much young talent it is bound to happen.

Fever women- Get on the treadmills. Increase your speed. Get some consistently good sleep. Low to no alcohol. (Sorry, but it messes with sleep and mental clarity.) Work on the mental and speed aspect, and once that’s there you’ll gel a lot better. Slow mind slow body. Study on avoiding fouls. Caitlin - Get comfortable doing what you do. Your defense was much better last night, and you need that, but remember what got you here. Build your calm confidence. Shoot your shots. And when you get a chance, take a day or two to yourself. I cannot imagine you’ve had much time to process your experience so far in general. Coach Sides - They did better last night. Coach them on closer defense without unnecessary physicality, for their own sake. And no reason for either of these teams to be arguing. Takes too much energy. Get the team supporting Caitlin on the floor. Take note of each player’s strength and build plays around that. I saw Bluder. Hope some convos happen for the sake of building a great team. TO NEW YORK - thank you for playing cleaner than Connecticut. You won the game with a lot less unnecessary aggression and mocking. You blocked professionally and you didn’t put literally 1 person on Caitlin the entire night… you actually played a game.

Why can’t you just play your game?! You need to be able to manage your game.

Caitlin is the media face and not player on the court. They might as well have hired a PR person as opposed to the best point guard in college history. Indiana Fever wake up. Try to find out what the real issues are for the team instead of having multiple media sessions. At some point of time the media will find out there’s nothing new in the content. How many times are you going to get Caitlin to spin the same stuff again and again? Your team looks like a group of players who have nothing to do with each other. Let your performance or at least your effort speak for you. You have a coach who does not take responsibility for the poor performance. Losing to Liberty is not surprising but a blowout is.

Teams are allowed to bully intimidate the Fever. It needs to get fixed.

She is a mouse in a Godzilla league and needs to grow in muscle, mental toughness, and change strategy as college easy ball won’t work in this fierce league! Her team are a bunch of scrappy street ballers missing every basket too which doesn’t help! 😫😖

CC should play 1, not 2. I see what the coach is doing. Reducing TOs by playing her 2 and wanting her to come off screens and get rid of double teams. It's a process so let's see if this will work.

But they have to pass her the ball, and Wheeler & Mitchell apparently don’t want to.

@@shf4592 that too. The team needs to trust CC. Starting with the coach. Quit putting your players down. Lift them up. I used to play commercially and I was great with some teams, bad on another. A coach can ruin your game. Same with jealous teammates. We know CC is great but there are lots of other things that need to gel properly here. It's just the 2nd game, so let's hope for the best.

Too slow and too weak. There isn’t a quick fix for being overmatched. Now the team as a whole is so ridiculously bad that she could end up having some decent stats. Kind of like AD did when he played for New Orleans.

She needs to get stronger to avoid being clamped down by defenders. Way too skinny and doesn’t have big butts, making it easy for defenders to lock her down
