What everyone seems to forget, this is a TEAM SPORT! Without the TEAM MENTALITY, the Fever, nor Caitlin will survive! It seems to me that they need a coach that brings each player's strengths forward, & figure out how to merge them to win! Not trying to change a player to how she wants them to play

A coach who is 13 wins and 30 losses talking about the players... They only time thry mounted a comeback was when Clark said screw this and did it her way. They got within 11 points. Than a timeout and they put Wheeler back in charge.

Watched my 3rd WNBA game Indiana Fever home opener 102-66 loss. It was "Every man for himself". Caitlin got shut down with only 9 pts. Clark has created a marketing fever pitch in audience for the league. If the coach can't figure out how to use and create for Clark, I'm afraid interest in the WNBA will fall back into the doldrums of no interest once again.

It's not the coach hating on her players, it's the players not fulfilling their assignments. More importantly, it's the opposing team defense that is applying the pressure to the Fever. Caitlin Clark has a target on her back, and they are coming after her. The league has disrespected the other players with the Caitlin Clark hype, and they have a point to prove. They don't want to hear any excuses for Clark.

Your coaching is just as much of the problem.

The issue is Christie (coach) is not building plays to adapter to her roaster, anotherwise CC is treated like another player instead utilizing her skills and impact on the court. CC only getting 7 attempts is not going to help... shooters like CC need to get into a rhythm, saying your player takes bad shots is dumb, thats the coach putting blame on the player and not her self is amateur coaching. When your player (CC) is 80%+ of the time drawing 2+ defenders to double coverage and apply pressure against your shooting game, and she does her job to assist on the play instead of taking the shot, that player (CC) is not the problem on taking “bad” shots, thats a coaching game play error.

The opening schedule is brutal. I think they said only four teams had a winning record last year. I want to see how the Fever does against some of those lesser teams, maybe they'll get some confidence going. Right now they can't even catch their breath because they're just getting pummeled

@@belpack8989in a way it’s a good thing because by having to go against the best teams first one after the other. It will be almost like a build up of additional training and conditioning so when they face the more average teams they will be able to win against those with no problem because they would have taken on the harder teams and learned how to battle against it.

Why is it so many of us can see the problem, yet the coach is clueless? The way the offense has been playing, CC should be shooting a minimum of 20 shots a game. The offense should 100% be ran through CC.

She made great passes tonight and they stopped letting her run the offense. CC won't be perfect, but she will continue to grow and is the best option to run the offense.

The coach is not effective; she has CC sitting in the corner during offense, but CC should take 25 shots per game.

You sound really mad right now. Who’s in charge of their “self” confidence. The individual. If c can’t handle it, sit on the bench and watch, thus figuring out how you best fit in. This is a TEAM sport, but sadly c is selfish with the ball.

CC needs to be the leader and allowed to play and direct the team as she is comfortable. She must not have the voice of "The Underminer" in her head saying to play not like her winning self.

Everyone that watched saw that it was the bench that brought the team back in the 3 rd , the wrong players are starting. Players need to get the ball to Clark and set screens , none of that is happening. Coach is part of the problem but not all of it.

Aliyah Boston’s was rookie of the year.

The coach never protected her player from some very bad referees. Cay was bullied the whole game Seemed the coach wanted to prove she was boss. Calling asked for help several times and the coach ignored her. Only shoot the shots coach wanted. Bad coaching. The other players followed the coach. Too bad the other players only wanted to be the star Coach support your star. And sh r will make you a star.

The schedule balances itself out. You can’t develop in 2 or 3 weeks. It will take a year for 5:48 Cc & AR to develop. These women play 2 different positions, so people need to quit comparing them.

Lisa Bluder was at the game last night, hopefully she accepted the head coach job. :-)

It will take a long time for them to win a game. Their record this year might be even worse than last year. This team is going to be target for other teams the entire srason. Their record will be worse this year than last year.

this coach is flustered! when no one watches you its easy to slide bye, but now that everyone is watching she doesnt know how to deal w/ the pressure

Fight and passion are useless when the game plan is ineffective and is not adapted effectively in response to live play.

How is she getting handled? She’s still been the best player on the team which shouldn’t be the case. The whole team is getting handled. Boston and smith got burned by Breanna, that’s not Caitlin’s fault. Always fun to hate on someone though

no coach in history has evern turned against a player like this fool they call a coach at indy; shocking; three games into her career and they are denying her shots and running her out of the league

Pride in the team by the players will come when the coach does the same. Truthfully if you have one individual camera on the Fever coach you'll see she is not coaching just bitching at the players. They need a more seasoned coach so the players will adjust to each other and seek more praise from the coaching staff. Negativism begets negative results from your players folks.The coach may be walking on rice paper right now and if rhe paper keeps tearing then she's through.

This coach sucks bad. It looks like chaos on the defense and offensive side of the ball. Players leave other opponents open unguarded, this tells me this coach has no idea how to coach, all basic fundamentals and saw nothing of the kind. Poor Caitlin is not getting help, I say play all your first year players together with Boston, but Boston needs to dribble out of trouble, too!

I'm nobody, but... if you have a player who is surrounded by three defensive players (Boston)... two people are wide open, kick the ball out. Start again. Have a discipline who is going to take shots - versus just anyone working one-on-one to the basket. Too many Fever girls are standing around on both ends of the floor. Caitlan should be your quarterback... I think she has demonstrated those exceptional skills. Both offense and defense look chaotic. Your record won't change unless your team becomes more cohesive. It all starts with leadership - as a coach and a quarterback. Anything less won't work well enough to matter.

Having coached college men's basketball, the Fever's offensive schemes are some of the worst I've ever seen. No one can get an open look and they fight to beat the shot clock time after time. Defense is definitely substandard, but offense is much lower than that.....Totally wasting the best women's player ever.....

Yes, CC can take it to the hoop. But she is NOT a wide body, she at least needs a small lane to squeeze through. Get her some help by coming up to the ball. And for God Sakes when she throws the ball to the post or forward, please catch it and then score. I didn't get a chance to watch the whole game but what I did see was A.B. muffin the pass or not able to follow through. I think in about 35% of the game I did watch, A.B could of at least had 10 points on them observations alone. The next thing is Ladies, get your buns down the court so CC or the other decent passers can help break the 1/2 court press. Of Course, I'm not a coach, or professional BBaller but what I see and don't see is very obvious to me.

Interesting that Sides has never been a head coach at the High School or College Level? 22 year Assistant bouncing back and forth, High School/College/Pro, from 2000-2022 and getting her Head Coach Debut in 2023, this being year two? Lisa Bluder continues to look better at knowing how to use Clark in an offense?

The defense was awful in that game against the Liberty, probably the worst basketball defense I've ever seen.

How can she perform when you only have 2 good players to account for? Truth is coach, you suck. Sides needs to be fired. Throwing clark under the bus is BS. Boston cant even play her game. Thats how bad the rest of the team actually is.

She literally has no clue what she is doing. She’s been an assistant because she was content. Now she’s steering the ship and has NO idea what she is doing

She is clueless. She said so herself. Even her last season was bad. Good players but bad coaching and leadership.

All the teams that have done too beat Indiana is double teaming Caitlin Clark. It’s obvious the rest of the team couldn’t throw a basket in a lake.

Why would you put a point guard in the corner when you need players that can shoot and distribute the ball. Wheeler can’t do neither. I hear that this is a young team, great let’s see them run. Play all your rookies that can run and play basketball. I haven’t seen neither, no defense or offense, all I’ve seen is chaos on both sides of the ball.

She sounds like a great coach.... They would be doing atleast 10 hours of layups and close up shots and making sure the shots go in... They did miss alot of easy dam shots...

My concern is for Boston on that team. Her talent in the hand of a coach like TSpoon will be fully and properly exploited. Clark like other rookies need time to learn the game at this level.

With all that hype yall put a target on her back and every team will double team her to keep her from having a good game. She is in the same boat as coach prime every body is out to beat her.

It’s not working 2-8, 9 point 3 turnovers..in two games 7-23, 13 turnover team 0-2 she sinking up the place..but the coach will be the escape goat..

Coach is to blame. You got CC and you are using her as a decoy most of the time. Got to use her as the primary scorer and run plays through her.

Opposing teams are not going to let CC go all college on them. She's not going to put up 30 a night. Totally different talent level than college

CC#22 is the target. The defender does not leave CC at all and they double team off lazy screens. Fever run the same play over and over.
