Indian food is just the best - especially a South Indian culinary experience. I had no idea that Singapore would house such great Indian street cuisine! Again, SO happy that you had another 'foodie' to share your meals with! Hope it continues😀😀

As an Indian viewer, I agree with Luke that the Indian food available in Singapore is as authentic as it is back in India. I remember my trip to Singapore and feeling the same about Indian food there. Luke has good knowledge of Indian food despite traveling to many countries and he still remembers eating food here. Martabak is not that famous here in India but kind of getting popular as stuffed parotta. Thank you to Foodie mama too and her little daughter aka cute little food reviewer. FYI, dosa is not a dish for lunch but still eaten by very few for lunch.

I’ve been to India many times and I tend to agree that on the whole, Indian food in Singapore is pretty comparable to those in India 🙏

Singapore has the most authentic tamil heritage than the India itself. Tamil is also one of the official languages of Singapore. Singapore it self is a tamil name meaning, singa = lion and ore=place or country. Respect 🙏🏾 🇨🇦 🍁

Zam Zam was heavenly during my childhood (decades ago), now everything there is so greasy I can’t eat them anymore. Go diagonally across the road for Singapore’s oldest Nasi Padang - Warung Nasi Pariaman, everything is so good wholesome there 😋😋😋

Thank you to share all this, with us. I went in Singapour in 2019 and i loved so much the indian part, it was amazing. You make me travel this morning and you make me remember so nice souvenirs. I had loved also the ice coffee in the indian market it was delicious. Merci (i am french canadian, from Québec )

Have to say the curry sauce and bread is right up my street. Looks so tasty!

The small bowl with the Chai is so that you can do the "Chai pull". Your pour back and forth from cup to bowl to reduce the temperature.

You missed out the chapati (flat bread) at Little India. The shop is Azmi Restaurant at the junction of Serangoon and Norris Roads. The dishes I recommend with the chapatis are scrambled eggs (this sells out pretty fast so it is best to go in the morning before 11 am), the chicken and/or mutton curry, fried long beans and fried cabbage. Skip the keema (minced mutton) which most people will tell you is a must have. Take this from someone who has been eating chapati since I was a kid

I love a good fluffy prata with slight crispy exterior and dip in fish curry yums!

Oh man I can imagine how that prata curry tastes like. The amazing savoury flavour of the mutton layered with tomato paste and masala spices is really one of the best flavours in the world. It's something I can eat every day too.

@@LukeMartin Most Singaporeans choose the fish gravy to go with our Parathas. First of all, we like the assam sour taste in the fish gravy and most importantly the fish gravy has to be made fresh that day… 😊

Ich finde es toll auf diesem Kanal so viele unterschiedliche Gerichte kennenzulernen. Gerade in den letzten 2 Jahren war es immer wie ein kleiner Urlaub diese Videos anzusehen. Wie wäre es mal nach Deutschland zu kommen und unser leckeres Essen zu probieren. Deutsche Küche ist so verschieden, ich würde es toll finden wenn sowas auch irgendwann mal Gier gezeigt wird. 😁

The video is so simple, yet it is sooo nice. It really takes you to the place, Little India. I just love how Luke can make enthusiasm sound cool. Other vloggers are just annoying when they play excited. It will be best though, if less or no moments of talking with the mask on.

I’ve started drinking a cup of golden milk before bed since last Monday because I read it helps with insomnia. I was sceptic at first because I’m not a milk drinker but honestly I’m in love! I love the flavour of the spices and sweetened with fresh raw honey 😱😍 and I sleep like a baby afterwards… I think the dosa would be something for me since I can’t have too heavy food or too spicy food since I had my gastric bypass… first year I only could eat light soups

That's the best Indian Teh Tarek, with evaporated milk n ginger juice, less sweet than condensed milk.

Luke don't forget to get down to Geylang Serai Bazaar Ramadhan in the evening...it's a must do...only happens once a year...and it was stopped for 2 years due to Covid...now it's back...

Try paneer handi with garlic naan. It is superb north indian food

I love prata especially egg prata.

You should try Indian Rojak next time, that is uniquely in Singapore, not found in India. You should also try the mee goreng (red color version) and mee kuah too

U juz came to Singapore? Prata shop is my all time favourite...been eating there for years... U can ask for more gravy...and u missed the sambal...it gives the kick to the prata...
