Indian Street Food + Sikh Langar in Surrey, BC! (w/ Techlinked Riley and Miss Canada Arshdeep)
This is real Indian street food! Our local host Arshdeep (Miss Canada Globe winner 2019) brings Riley (of Techlinked) to try authentic Indian street food (chaat, or snack food, to be precise - including papdi chaat and dahl), and then gets free food (really!) at a gurdwara - it's a charitable tradition of Sikhism called langar to offer free food at each Sikh temple. All this Indian food comes from Surrey, BC, a suburb of Vancouver, Canada with a large Indo-Canadian population. If you're looking for a Vancouver food recommendation, and you've never tried real Indian food before, check out Apna Chaat and the nearby Sikh Gurdwara!
Riley Murdock (Techlinked/Linus Tech Tips/NCIX Tech Tips) is a KZreadr who makes tech videos.
Arshdeep Purba, a Punjabi-Canadian actress, model, and dancer, was the winner of Miss Canada Globe 2019.
Surrey is home to one of the largest Punjabi communities in the world outside of South Asia, so it's a perfect place to find legit Indian food and experience Punjabi culture.
First season of Secret Informant brings you to Vancouver, Canada, a vibrant multicultural city with lots of great food from around the world! Follow our curious host Riley to explore and experience the authentic cultural food there is. Let our secret informant - Arsh, show and explain to you what makes an Indian restaurant traditionally authentic.

The tradition of serving free meal in Langar (community kitchen) is being carried by Sikh community for over 500 years. The volunteers not only cook or serve, they also wash the dishes, after you finish your meal. Feeding a hungry stomach is probably the most noble work in the whole world, which you can offer. In India, thousands of homeless people are dependent on Langars only. I liked that, you included Gurdwara and Langar, in this episode and explained the tradition to the audience. Best of luck Riley for your new adventures.

Wonderful!!! Love it. Looking forward to more!!
This was far more entertaining than I expected :) Good job
Glad you landed on your feet Riley. Great show, love the editing. Keep it up!
omg, that temple looks awesome! I've recently been watching Nisha Madhulika's Indian cooking youtube channel, and trying out her recipes. Indian food is my favorite in the world, since there are so many yummy veggie options, and a good appreciation for spices and heat. Def check her out if you wanna try these meals at home (don't forget to turn on subtitles)

Danielle Spargo In India roughly 30% of d people are Vegetarians and u know why because no one cooks vegetarian food as well as we do and d mind boggling variety of vegetarian options we have is simply insane. The magic to cooking tasty food is to know how to put d right mix of spices. By d way I am non vegetarian but seldom miss meat.

Good job Keys..looks like a tasty gig you got going . Cheers.
Great show, looks promissing. I just wish you shared more about the ingredients and the flavors like in the second part. Any trivial cultural things are welcome as well !
loved the first episode! The volume was a bit wonky but hopefully that's an easy fix. It definitely makes me want to eat Indian food and right now! Good work people, can't wait to see the next episodes.

This is a great start to your new venture Riley. A little polish on the production side (sound and lighting mostly) and bumping up the episode length to around 15 minutes would give you something that could take off big time!
I don't usually watch food and travel shows but i will follow this show just for you riley (i like your humor)

This was great Riley, really liked the delivery, made me excited to try both these places! As others have stated the voice volume is a bit inconsistent. (Personal opinions here:)If the video was just a bit longer that would be awesome. You could also milk transitions and setting the scene for the locations more.
nice to see you riley and you got a new job ........... tasting food must be really good
This was super well done. And your screen presence is awesome! Can't believe this was your first one :)

The feeling behind Langar is so pure! It is not a matter of religion but the heart of the people that makes everything so much more beautiful! These are good people that come and cook and feed hungry people and is there anything better than that? I am really glad that Arsh took him to the Gurdwara as that showed not only yummy food but also displayed our culture. PS Though I wish you guys could have had Kade wala Prashaad. I just ADORE it!

there is nothing like an "authentic Indian food" every state every city and village have their own cuisine.. so saying that it is an "authentic indian food" its kinda a stretch..also in india almost all the places the food is served in a form of prasad, try the golden temple(i stayed there for 3 nights )and did seva, also in tirupati balaji and in auroville as well!also you will be humbled by experiencing the Harmandir saheb .. Golden temple langar.. they serve about 100000 each day and the number is increasing!! waheguruji da khalsa waheguruji di fateh!!!
