I love a good cruiser, I love an American thumping V twin. I can't say I'm likely to ever own one but when the opportunity pops up to ride one I rarely turn it down.
If I was in the market for a stocky cruiser this would absolutely be in my top tier. It has something I can't quite put my finger on, but it's something that draws my eye and always makes me jealous when I see it.

Nice review thanks, you said no abs on this model but I noticed that there are abs rings on both disc's, are these just for show or because they are generic disc's across the range?
@RarefiedRoad

Sorry you are right I made a mistake, it's got no rider modes or TC but ABS is a requirement in Europe I believe. Thanks for spotting it.

Yes, The bike is available with ABS although it is not standard on all Scout bobber models. Top end speed is just over 120 mph due to a governor (Speed limiter). I hear that for about 1000 USD you csn bypass the limiter. Not sure if I want to LOL It is fast enough for me :)
By far the most informative non-biased review I’ve seen. Thank you!
Another cracking review. I think you draw out the positives (and negatives) of each bike in a very positive and passionate way.

I’d buy this bike for sure. Great review.
Great review which made me go out this morning and get one! Matt black… only thing I don’t like is the price of any extras! Crazy.
Another good review Tim. Honest, straight talking. Why you haven't got 30-60k subscribers I don't know🤔🤷🏻♂️

Been looking forward for this review of yours... after Robert's post on Insta 😁😅 I'm particularly fond of a "buff" customisation shown by MAX-the-hench 🤣 at the BSMC October'2018 Anyway, excellent work Tim as always ✊🏼👊🏼 Stay safe, take care, have fun, keep on riding! The difference for me between the Indian and the Triumph Bonneville Bobber is the Belt Drive. Time is valuable, so for me it is about simplicity of maintenance as well.

This bike always catches my eye, and was really curious on your review of it. Unfortunately I think it's just too low for our Welsh country bends. But I still just want one, prob because of looks and sound. Such a cool bike. Its my 'if had the money bike', as a 2nd or 3rd bike in the garage 😅 Great review bud 🤙

I really like it it really looks vintage, like ole timey bike.
Quick question. What handlebars are on the bike, as they don’t look stock. Cheers.
I know you boys in the UK and he EU get put out by the forward controls and having your knees spread like you are visiting the gyno, but you look pretty badass riding that bike. Plus, a few good good high speed trips will really help you build up those biceps, chest and lower back. Why do you think the Harley guys looked so jacked (hench)? :-) Plus in the Summer having your thighs spread wide funnels air flow to your nuts.

I'm from the U.S (Texas)and can't stand forward controls. It's like riding a horse to me you don't want your feet under the horses chin.🐎
First time I've seen handlebars like that on the scout. Can you drop a link for them...? Thanks
How is the beach handlebar.. is it really comfort....
I could imagine riding that on a hot day on the open roads of California but on the tight twisty roads of the UK I'm not sure any cruisers make sense, especially one with so little ground clearance. Now the FTR looks a better proposition, more practical and still that great looking V twin.
@RarefiedRoad
3 жыл бұрын
The FTR is definitely my preference, that bike works really well in the UK
Good video! Let me know the handlebar?
That's an aftermarket exhaust in case anyone was wondering, those are the crusher exhausts. I had them for about 2 week on my scout before I couldn't take it and put the stock back on.

@@kendil22 i see! but loud is good so the trucks and cars can hear you before you come no?
@kendil22
3 жыл бұрын
@@thephantomzoneboxing No. Modern cars and trucks are so sound isolated that they might or might not hear you. And if they do, it'll probably be a noise that they can't identify the direction it's coming from and are likely to ignore. It hasn't been studied all that much, but what little there is shows people with loud pipes get into just as many accidents as people without. Hi_viz has been shown to be more effective, stick with that.

That is a beautiful bike 👍
I do like Triumphs ut I'd take that Indian over a Bobber any day of the week. Nice review sir :)
I own a 2024 Scout Bobber and have no regrets. Vance and Hines twin slash cuts, Corbin seat with diamond pattern, and Bob short stem mirrors. Beautiful bike if I do say so myself....... However, I could use a jacket like yours, in black, to complete the picture!
Such a beautiful bike I'm so in love.. how is it possible to build a stunning breath taking machine like this?
Any good for 6'3 tall ppl?
Must admit nice looking bike.
Cool bike, looks great and Moore Speed customs do some wicked specials. Is that a Merlin jacket you are wearing ?

It is a nice bike, satisfyingly solid. The jacket is a Goldtop.
Do you think it is good for long rides? Some North American reviewers have said it gets uncomfortable after a while due to the seating position. Your thoughts?
@RarefiedRoad
3 жыл бұрын
I can't imagine it's that comfortable on a long ride because of the position but I don't think it's the kind of bike I'd be doing distance on.
What seat do you have on this ?
Good review. Shape of bike looks good, I like the sound . Your comments about ground clearance and the seat are a bit off putting, not that I intend to go around corners like a MotoGP rider but still I do get a bike over a bit sometimes ! The FTR 1200 does look a bit more appealing to me.
@RarefiedRoad
3 жыл бұрын
I'd stick with the FTR. I can't bring myself to buy a bike that can't lean over, I know I'd get frustrated
I would love to see Indian making a Scout R(Scout not the Bobber) which would have the front end from the FTR with duble Brembos up front and a bit more travel in the rear so it would have a bit more lean angle. And that would be a perfect bike for me baysicy a HD Street Rod 750 but with Indian Scout 1200 looks FTR front end and a bit more lean angle! I recon it would be epick! Grate vidoe as usual Buddy keep em coming!!

@@RarefiedRoad I'll look forward to seeing you ride one.
It looks great! It would definitely be the cruiser I'd buy if I had remotely close to 12k! I've owned quite a few cruisers and the key is slow in, fast out. Give it the beans from the apex and laugh at the engine noise, torque and scrapping pegs. There is a lot of satisfaction riding a cruiser, knowing you couldn't possibly go faster, rather than riding a sportsbike knowing that you really only dare give it 20%. Unless your on a track, under 500cc or stupid.

Gold top Bobber leather jacket made in UK. Around $500.00 U.S.
Maybe when I’m old and grey and tired of naked bikes I’ll retire to something like this. For now I’ll stick to an mt07. Just so much more fun to be able to pop a wheelie anywhere at any time.
I almost bought one of these, but as you mentioned, when I accelerated hard or when I was above 60 miles per hour, I felt like I was going to fall right off the back of it. Everything else about it I really liked. I ended up getting a V-Rod which has more power and I think overall a better motorcycle. This one is a very good one though. The knobby tires do hamper the ride quality.

All over at 6000rpm? Did you actually ride the thing? Peak torque is at 6000 rpm but peak HP doesn't come in all the way up to 8,100rpm. What I actually like about this bike is that coming from sports machines the engine revs and revs much your used to, something like a Harley is mostly low down so you have to short shift which can feel odd and different. Take this bike out again when it's hot and dry, rev the balls off it and its super super fun.
Its a cool bike, but a lot of owners tell that its breaking your lower back and gets uncomfortable quickly.

New seat and suspension, and removal of the front light cover . I would do that first. Possibly front indicators would go and get replaced by LEDs and main lamp LED too
You want to ride a cruiser that has loads of torque and also revs to 9000 RPM, test out a Harley V-Rod, especially the 1250 version.
