Hazrat Abbas(as)'s horse name was Ashal. It was a very tall horse. Hazrat Ali Akbar's horse name was Uqaab(Eagle). It was intitially called "Murtajiz". It comes from 'rijiz' which means thunder/lightning. It's called uqaab bcoz it was lightning fast.

@@Facts_Of_Islam Actually Murtajiz was later called Uqaab. Means Murtajiz= Uqaab. Some say it was Hazrat Ali Akbar's horse. Some say it was Hazrat Abbas's. But you are right.....mostly Uqaab is thought to be Hazrat Ali Akbar (as)'s horse.

@@mohdhussain46 No bro. It didn't actually had wings. It's just a metaphor.Uqaab was too fast as if it had wings. It's said to express Uqaab's swiftness. (Means Uqaab was very fast. But a horse cannot have wings. Sirf tashbeehan kaha jata hai)

Kunniya is kept on the name of 1st son. Shahzada Fazal (asws) is the 3rd son of Maula Abbas (asws). Here Fazal means virtue (Fazeelat). Meaning Fazeelaton ka Baap. For details read Khasaes e Abbas Alamdar (asws) by Ayatullah Sheikh Mohammad Ibrahim Najafi Kalabasi.

@@jkr303 wrong. Kuniyat can be named after any of sons, not necessarily 1st son. Imam Husain(as)'s kuniyat is Aba Abdillah (Who told you that Abdullah was Imam Hussain's 1st son?). Imam Musa Kazim(as) is called Abal Hasan as well as Aba Ibrahim. Both are right. Did Imam have 2 first sons? Imam Jafar Sadiq as is called Aba Abdillah. There are so many examples. I know fazal means virtue. But Abul Fazal doesn't mean father of virtue. Abul Fazl was his kuniyat. Fazal means virtue, that's why Hazrat Abbas as named his son Fazal.

@@jkr303 Hazrat Abbas's mother Bibi Fatima(sa) was called Ummul Baneen(mother of sons). She was not called Ummul Abbas. And Bibi Sayyeda Zahra(as) was called Umme Abeeha(mother of her father). Bcoz she took care of Huzoor (SAW) like a mother.

Maula Ali (asws) had told Shahzadi Zainab (Slwt) when Maula Abbas (asws) was Born, "His Name Shall Be Abbas (asws), His Kunniya is Abul Fazal..." To Which Shahzadi Zainab (Slwt) had replied, "Kunniya Abul Fazal signifies greatness and loftiness." Ref:- Khasaes e Abbas Alamdar (asws) Page 98. Maula Ali (asws) is called Abuturab. Not because of any of his son being named "Turab" Maula Abbas (asws) is called Abul Fazal - He is the father of Virtues. Meaning he is the source of all virtues. On the basis of Son. Maula Abbas (asws) ki called "Abul Qasim (asws)." Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari offered salutations on Maula Abbas (asws) by saying, "As Salaam Alaika Ya Abul Qasim (asws), Ya Abbas (asws) Ibn e Ali (asws).. All these are there in Khasaes e Abbas Alamdar (asws) book written by great mujtahid Ayatullah Sheikh Mohammad Ibrahim Najafi Kalabasi.

Hazrat Abbas...born in 26 AH. Fought Jung e Siffin in 37 AH at the age of 11. The forces of Muaviya mistook him for Mola Ali. Then Hazrat Ali as appeared and said "He is Abbas, The moon of Banu Hashim". Ibrahim ibn e Malik Ashtar was one of his close friends. He embraced Martyrdom at the age of 35 in year 61 AH at Karbala. One of Hazrat Abbas's best teachers was his mother. It was bcoz of his mother's teachings that Hazrat Abbas as always considered him the slave of Mola Hussain and other children of Sayyeda Fatima as. Jab bhi Bibi Zainab as or Bibi Um e Kulsoom as k samne bethty thy.....do zanu ho kar (tashahhud ki halat me) bethty thy, gardan hmesha jhuki hoti thi, kabhi un ki taraf sar utha kar dekhne ki jurat nahi ki. Yeh us azeem maan ki tarbiyat thi....jo Shadi k baad kamre k darwazy pr bethi hui thi...Mola Ali ne poocha "Ap darwazy pr q bethi hain." Tou farmaya ki "Fatima Zahra ki jaga pr bethne ki jur'at me nahi kar skti. Me unki kaneez hon". Jab maan itni azeem hogi, tou beta tou Shahanshah e Wafa hoga na.
