Please study the following statement very carefully and ponder over the points discussed. The daughter of Abu Bakr, the wife of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), the mother of the believers, Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her??) waged a war against the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet, a member of the holy ahlulbayt and the rightful caliph of her time, hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Many were killed and many were injured in this battle. The holy Prophet (P) had warned his wives against this battle. The son Abu Sufyan and Hind, the father of Yazeed, Mu'awiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him??) waged a war against the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet, a member of the holy ahlulbayt and the rightful caliph of her time, hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). A highly respectable sahabi of the holy Prophet, Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred by Mu'awiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him??) in this battle. The holy Prophet (P) had informed Ammar that he would be killed by a gang of traitors. As a free thinking Muslim, I am sure that it is my right to analyse such episodes and search for some concrete explanation, such as:~ 1. How on earth can Allah, the All Just can ever be pleased with the oppressed and the oppressors at the same time? If this is not a mockery of deen then what else is it? 2. Can a sahabi of the holy Prophet be a warmonger, an evil monger, an oppressor, an unjust and a bloodthirsty? 3. Can a warmonger, an evil monger, an unjust, an oppressor and a bloodthirsty be a sahabi of the holy Prophet? 4. What is the definition of a sahabi? 5. What kind of examples and role models are such beings for the ummah? 6. What kind of role model and example is Ayesha for the Muslim women? 7. How can such beings who are drenched in innocent blood be a source of knowledge, information and guidance on Islam? 8. What kind of Islam (if that is Islam) can be expected of such beings? 9. Did Ayesha, Mu'awiyyah and their followers accept hazrat Ali as their Rightful caliph? 10. What is the punishment for someone who rebels against the caliph of their time? 11. Who are the martyrs and who are the traitors in these two battles? 12. If you were present at the time, whose side would you take and on what grounds? 13. Did Ayesha, Mu'awiyyah and their followers pray namaz? In their namaz, did they send blessing upon their holy Prophet and his holy progeny? What kind of beings were they who sent blessings upon their Prophet and his family and at the same time oppressed them usurped their rights and spilled their blood? 14. We are told not to speak anything against the wives and the sahabas of the holy Prophet regardless of their corruption, mischief mongering, warmongering and bloodshed. The SON of Prophet Nuh (a s ) could not escape the wrath of Allah. The WIVES of prophets Nuh and Lut (a s) are thrown into the hellfire because of the corruptions. Allah has cursed the UNCLE of the holy Prophet, Abu Lahab by his name in the holy Qur'an. What makes Muslims think that the sahabas and the wives of the holy Prophet are immune to Allah's wrath and anger? Please study Surah Tahreem. 15. Muslims claim that they love their holy Prophet and his ahlulbayt and at the same time they revere, respect, honour and take their enemies as leaders, guide and source of knowledge and information on Islam. If this is not a top class hypocrisy then what else is it? Muslims need to wake up from their deep slumber and start some soul searching about the source of their knowledge, information and guidance on Islam after the holy Prophet. 16. What would you say about someone who is drenched in the blood of your own Prophet's family members? 17. If one were to scan the Muslim's so-called most authentic books like Sahih Muslim or Sahih Bukhari, how many hadith do you come across that are narrated by personalities like the sahabi, cousin and the son-in-law of the holy Prophet, a member of holy ahlulbayt and one of rightful caliph, hazrat Ali or the Lady of the Light, the Mistress of the women of paradise, a member of the holy ahlulbayt and the beloved daughter of the holy Prophet, hazrat Fatima Zahra or the two grandsons of the holy Prophet, princes of the youths of paradise and the members of ahlulbayt, Imams Hasan and Husain (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all). Is it that these personalities had nothing to contribute towards Islam or is it that their merits, status, knowledge, sacrifices, etc. are brushed under the carpet? Muslims need to study the biographies of personalities like the holy Prophet Muhammad, his beloved daughter Fatima, her husband Ali and their sons Hasan and Husain (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all). They also need to look into the authentic history of Islam, especially events such as:~ Da'wat-e-Zul ashira Mubahila Ghadeer-e-Khum The death of Abuzar Ghaffari The death of Malik bin Nuweira The death of Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Ashura
